Mailing to CMs

Does anybody know how to get mail to the DCL Cast Members?
We had such a great time and got some really fantastic pictures. We would like to send some to a few of the Cast Members. Has anybody done this and, if so, how? Thanks for any help.

We sent a few pictures along with a gift basket to one of the CM's through Shirley at The Perfect Gift. We did know their department and first and last name.

Or, I guess you could mail them to DCL and they may be able to forward???? Anyone else with an idea???

Were these dining room CM's???? Because if they were and you charged your tips, their last names would be on the vouchers and it might make it easier to get to them.

The mailing address for Cast Members is:

Disney (Magic or Wonder) - Disney Cruise Line
Attn: Crew Member Name
Role: (Server, Asst Server, Stateroom Host, etc.)
Dept: (Food & Beverage, Guest Services, etc.)
Cape Canaveral, FL 32920

If you do not know the CM's last name, just add his/her country after the CM's first name. With their role and department, the mail will get to him/her. They love getting mail! I hope this helps.

Hey! I sent mail to a fave CM and I sent to country of origin. I never heard if he received it but I'm glad I sent it! Definitely send it if you feel you want to...it's a tough job and I bet they will appreciate it!!!!

Hi there,
If anyone has a letter they want sent to any of the cast members, you can send it to me and when deliveries are made to the ship, we will make sure they get them through housekeeping - there is not problems and no cost except the extra stamps. just make sure you put their duties on the sealed envelope and Norm or I will be glad to do it - you can email me at snelsonbrown@aol.com

Thanks everybody! Several CMs told me they've never received mail from a guest. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feel these folks deserve some personlized attention for the fantastic jobs they do. I'm sure they'd rather see it in tips, but sometimes the budget doesn't allow for all you'd like to do for them. Thanks again!

Another idea for CM's gifts would be Wal-mart gift cards....we talked to several CM's who said they try to get to Wal-mart to purchase all their stuff, especially steroeos, CD players, clothes, ect.

We were at the Walmat that the crew goes to and the cashiers were telling us a busload of CM's comes in every Saturday morning to buy various things. I think it would be a great idea to send them gift cards they could use at Wal-mart. I know alot of people like to give out phone cards...but they do not always work for calling their home countries.

P.S. Shirley....you really are the best!!!! Thank you for your offer...I will be taking you up on it soon!!!

Thanks for the info about the Wal-Mart cards. What a great idea.
I know that this doesn't substitute for their tips, but what a great additional gift so show them just how much we appreciate them.
I know just the CM's I am going to get them for!!!! And a few extra for the new ones I may meet!

mj, do you know if it's all the cm's who get a chance to go to Walmart? I'd hate to tuck a gift card in with Mousekeeping's tip and find out they never get to get off the ship in Port Canaveral because they're required to stay on board getting the ship ready for the next sailing.

I was just on the phone with Disney Cruise Line b/c I want to send something to the Concierge team that helped us while on the ship. Below is the address I was given. I obviously have no experience to know if it actually works.

teammom....that is a good question...I do not know if all are allowed off in Port Canaveral...I would have to assume that the room stewards do not get off, because they need to do the rooms for the arriving guests....

Maybe hint around with the CM on board to see if that is an option for them or not.

On the other hand, it would be an easy way for those CMs to get a friend to pick up some stuff for them if they knew someone who was going. No worrying about exactly change, etc.

Also, I noticed a Kmart near the port in St Thomas. That might be another option.

Let us know how you did with contacting the CMS. I know it is a long shot but THEY are truely what make the cruise vacation special and there should be some way of letting them know....

I mailed pictures and packages to our CM friends using the Cape Canaveral address and everything arrived (they sent me emails). They really do take their jobs seriously and are thrilled to hear how much we appreciate them. A letter to DCL doesn't hurt either - the comments are passed to the CMs and they (the CMs) receive recognition from DCL.

That's great....I also sent an acknowledgement letter to DCL to mention all the CMs who did an excellent job last August on our cruise. I'm happy to hear that they get those messages. I would think that it is hard to stay upbeat week after week, always meeting new people. The main reason we are returning this year is because of the great time we had last summer!
