For the first time, we're mailing some things to our resort. I admit to being a little nervous.

How early should I send it? Is a week enough? Are three medium-ish boxes too much (we're there for 15 days)?

Have any of you ever sent boxes & they didn't make it?

Already have my labels printed out, lol!

Thanks!!!

Some resorts charge a package fee if they have a conference center. Those fees are not cheap, They will hold the package for you if you’re arriving within a few days,

I ship a box from Amazon. For several years, I have been charged a fee when staying at SSR; I think it was $5 per box. Be sure to put on your label "Hold for Guest Arrival on date ."

I put our name, reservation # and check in date on the shipping label, It's never been a problem. I've shipped things quite a few times.
I'd send it at least a week early. They hold it in the bell services area. It's secure.

If you send by U.S. mail, it goes to a central receiving spot before going onto the front desk of your hotel. When mailing, you need to leave extra time for your package to be processed at the central receiving spot.
You are supposed to be charged $6 for each package which is received at the front desk:

If your hotel has a convention center and you ship by UPS or FedEx, your package will go to the convention center business office. The business office will charge you for handling each package. The handling fees are here:

I have shipped via FedEx several times. I always address it as:
[hame of hotel]
Hold for guest [my name]
[hotel street address]
[city, state, zip]

I never put my arrival date or my reservation number.

FedEx and UPS ask you for the phone number of the recipient, so I always have the hotel's phone number handy when I drop off my package.

There is a Sticky on the Resorts Board, but I never read it because I already knew what to do:

We ship an Amazon Pantry box prior to each trip. Honestly, I've noticed inconsistency in the fees. Some resorts charge a handling fee while others don't.
