How do you do this?? Do you use UPS or postal service?? How far ahead of trip do you send stuff? We always bring along a twin inflatable bed with a pump...I'd love to send that first.

How long does the hotel (BWV in our case) hold the box, and is it at the front desk??

We carry-on, anyway, but would still love to have LESS to carry-on!

We send things ahead on a regular basis and we use FedEx Ground. Usually we stay at OKW but have on ocassion sent items to one of the other resorts. We have NEVER had a problem with any of our things not being properly handled by either FedEx or the resort front desk or bell staff.

The address to send it to is the resort address listed in your member guidebook. We usually send things out 1 week before arrival and we always list our name and check-in date in two prominent locations on the package. You pick up your package at the front desk when you check-in or the bell staff at each of the resorts will hapilly deliver it to your villa if you like. In the case of FedEx the bell staff and front desk can arrange for your package to be sent back to your home address.

Have a great trip...be prepared to get hooked on sending things ahead.

We were thrilled to Ship some things to our resort ahead of time 2 years ago. They only arrived 10 hours before we did.... The resort charges us a handling fee of $50. We were SHocked!!!!!!
We have not shipped anything since... NO one else seems to have mentioned this. ..... maybe it is not the practice now.

Now our favorite choice is to take one huge suitcase filled with food... at the end of our trip we have it filled w/ souveniers!

Happy Vacation! :flower:

OK, we leave this Saturday...it's too late this time, then?

USPS, UPS and FedEx can easily get your item from IL to FL by Friday.

We've been shipping things for years and have never been charged a handling fee. Of course we pay the FedEx shipping fees to and from the resort and we generously tip the bell staff when they deliver our items to our villa.

Might the $50 fee be connected or associated with a convention fee of some kind? Seems I read on these boards that conventions pay fees for package services but I'm uncertain if this is correct. Before we ship next we'll check on handling fees with the front desk just to be sure. I'd be Shocked with a $50 charge as well.
