Mail sent to Resort

I know a lot of people (including myself) send packages to the resort they're staying at, but has anyone ever had mail, like a letter, sent to a resort. I recevied a rewards card from my work that I can use to purchase a Disney Gift Card but the gift card has to be ordered from the company specified. When I called to inquire about the timing to receive the gift card the expected delivery date if I ordere today would be either the day before our trip to a couple of days after we would arrive. I'm wondering if I could have them send it directly to the resort so it's either there for us when we arrive or gets there while we're staying there. We'd be there for 7 days and the latest it would arrive should be on day 4 of our trip, so still a decent amount of time for any delays. Any ideas on if this would be possible? Thanks!

I would certainly consider personal mail delivery to be outside of what I myself would expect a hotel to do for me. What if it doesn’t arrive in time, or gets held up in a sorting facility? Will you ask your hotel to mail it somewhere else?

Sorry, just not worth the effort for me. I’m sure someone will chime in and say they had an entire week’s worth of mail and newspapers forwarded to their hotel and everyone was super happy to help them out, but every employee tasked with dealing a singular piece of personal mail will be surely pissed.

Since I LIVED at a hotel for about a year - i would say that they WOULD take mail for you, but remember that Disney is a HUGE area and it might not get there when you think it will - just keep that in mind

I received mail at BWI last year at Christmas time. Was waiting for it and got a room phone alarm when it came in. Had to pick it up from either Bell Service or the front desk.

ETA: also received a replacement credit card while staying at Poly this past spring.

My DD sent me a birthday card a couple of times. Both times took a lot longer than she expected.

It is definitely possible to receive mail. They do recommend that your dates of stay be included in the To: section.

I believe mail goes through a disney mail center and that processing center doesn't work on weekends (or something like that).

If the gift card company uses the US Postal Service it will be delivered to a centralized mail facility which will then sort and send it to the appropriate resort, but that will add day(s) to your expected delivery date.

Does the gift card company offer expedited shipping or e-giftcards to your home?

Thanks for all the replies. I think I'll do something different rather than chance it.

I would have it sent to a family member, then when it comes, they could call you with the number on the back and you could transfer it to another Disney gift card via the website.

I had to have a credit card sent to me at BWV last year. I was supposed to get before we left but they did not expedite it correctly, so I had to have it sent to BWV. It went to the Business Office in the Convention Center and I had to pick it up there. The hours were not easy to work around. but we made it work since I needed my new credit card.
