Maid service?

Hello, we are renting points for a Tuesday-Friday stay at BoardWalk Villas. I recall that maid service isn't daily at the villas - what day(s) is it?

I believe you will get trash and towel service on day 4. If you were staying longer you would get a full cleaning on day 7. You can pay for a cleaning which I think is about $20 for a studio and a little more for 1BR and 2BR. You can also purchase additional towels if you don't want to reuse them. Or you can launder your towels yourself. If you are in a studio, there is a free laundry room for you. If you are in a 1BR, 2BR or GV, there will be washer/dryer units in your unit.

Since Friday is day 4 and that's your check-out day, I don't believe you will receive a trash & towel service.

We stayed at OKW Jan. 8-16. We had full housekeeping on day 4. I remember thinking that was odd but I just assumed I had mixed the days up. Day 4 also happened to be Sunday and four of us had run in the half/full marathon that day. I was in the process of cleaning the villa myself (had to keep moving!) when she showed up. She said she didn't mind us being there but I felt like we were in her way. She did a great job and was very quick about it.

No, this is a timeshare, and thus no regular maid service. We do usually get trash and towel on the 4th day and a full cleaning on the 8th day, but since you are only going to be there 3 nights, you will miss trash and towel also.

According to the member guidebook, if your stay is for 8 nights or longer, you will receive full cleaning service on day 4 and T&T service on day 8. After that, the cycle begins again on day 12. (That explains why you received full cleaning on day 4.) If your stay is less than 8 nights, you'll receive T&T service on day 4.

We usually request to reverse that order and have our T&T first and then the full cleaning on day 8.

I think they reversed the order for the longer stays because so many people were checking out on Day 9 or 10 and getting the full cleanings on their last or next to last day. Putting it sooner makes more sense in those cases.

I agree. I prefer it that way.
