Yes, if you are reserving a DVC resort thru CRO or WDW Travel, you will receive daily housekeeping. DVC members, staying on points, do NOT get daily housekeeping service unless we request and pay extra for the service.

As always, DOC is right. I would only add that DVC members staying on points receive trash and towel service every 4th day of their stay at no charge. If you wish additional cleaning services, it is available at additonal cost. The front desk can give you a quote, I believe our two bedroom cost was $40.

DVC members recieve a full cleaning on the eighth day of a longer stay. The schedule then alternates every fourth day with a trash and towel once and a full cleaning the next. They did somethng about changing which was first, I don't remember the specifics.

On the longer stay they give you the full cleaning on the 4th day and the Trash & Towel on the 8th day. (Too many people were getting the full cleaning a day or so before check-out. This made sense to reverse the two.) The cleaning/T&T continue to alternate every 4th day for the length of your stay.

I thought I remembered reading a while ago that if you stay at another WDW resort on points you do not get daily maid service. It stuck in my mind because that didn't seem fair since the point cost at the WDW hotels is so high,and you are paying for the "hotel experience" and it seemed hard to manage administratively, since the maids would have to know which rooms to ignore. Am I misremembering this?

I think you mis-remembering. I am sure you get maid service when staying at hotels. Part of the justification for the point schedule is the maid service.

During my last BWV stay, I found out that if you are a member staying there but not using points but the DVC member cash discount, you do not get cleaning either. Same schedule applies as if you had use points.

That's right Carol. When you stay at any DVC resort using either points or the member cash discount you get the limited maid service. Think of it this way, if MS makes your reservation at a DVC resort you get the limited service. If you book through any other method you get full maid service.

When you stay at a Concierge Collection, WDW resort, Disney cruise etc. you get the full maid service. When you trade out to another timeshare you get whatever service they offer.
