Maid service for cash weekends?

I just thought about this -

We are paying for a couple weekend nights to stretch our points farther - We got the DVC member discount for the room but since we are paying cash is maid service included?

I'm guessing that it is, but wanted to check. We'll have to make sure to leave a tip and pick up a bit if that is the case.

My understanding is that daily housekeeping is not included if your cash reservation is made through MS. (The room comes from member inventory that MS doesn't think will be reserved for points).

Daily housekeeping is included if your reservation is made through CRO.

So, if you get a good AP rate through CRO there is even a bit more 'bang for your buck'.

We don't usually want the extra maid service, but we'll be at Vero and it might be nice to have the sand cleaned up each day!

We attended a conference in Hilton Head and booked a cash reservation with member discount last May for six days and received daily maid service.
