Maid attacked at Pop Century

Cadilla Juste, a housekeeper at Disney's Pop Century resort was badly beaten while cleaning a room and had to spend time in the hospital, reports WFTV.
Police did find her attacker, who was charged and arrested for aggravated battery. On top of all this, Juste claims that Disney is threatening to fire her if she didn't return to work a few days after her attack.
She spent three days in the hospital and has returned to her home, but she doesn't feel well enough to return to work.
Earlier this week, Juste claims that a manager told her that if she did not return to work, she would be fired. Disney released a statement saying that Juste must be having a language barrier problem and is actively trying to help Juste during her recovery process.

I would not believe the last part of this.

When a person has been out sick for more than three days they are required to get medical clearance prior to returning to work.

After I had my hip replacement surgery and had received clearance from my doctor, I was in contact with my manager. She said that I had to actually go to Health Services with the clearance for them to set me back up as eligible to work, and shw could not do anything to put me on the schedule until such time as I had the clearance from Health Services.

I am fairly certain that if she was hospitalized for three days she would have a "reasonable" amount of time to recover. As her situation is a known medical condition her manager cannot do anything about it.
