Can anyone tell me what this is like. I presume it's fish & wondering if my ds9 would like it when we go to Coral Reef.

Hi Sharon,
Yes Mahi Mahi is fish, My DD(15) and my DH likes it as well, i'm not really keen on fish, not much help i know :)

I had it in Mexico and it was very nice, Im not a fish eater really but I still liked it.

question: I'm a very picky fish person and my bf only likes white fish. Is this a very fishy tasting fish?

I am not sure about it being "fishy", but it does have flavour.

Depends how "picky" you are - if you can order something, decide "hhhmmm, that isn't my favourite fish" but finish it anyway, then you could order it and see. If you would take one mouthful go "yuk, I am not touching any more!", then I wouldn't bother - wait until someone you are with orders some and try a little bit (otherwise you waste money and/or go hungry....).

It sort of depends on what "white fish" you BF likes and why - Mahi Mahi is not like cod or Haddock: it is denser, a bit meater and taster. It is really nice. It is served as a fillet (no bones). Obviously exactly what it tastes like depends on how it is served. I think it is worth trying, but - as above - depends how picky he is... If BF is less picky, he could order it and you could try a bite?

I love Mahi Mahi - just wish i could get it round here!

Its served as a fillet - so not bones or anything. If i remember correctly its served quite plain at the coral reef - just grilled.

Thanks guys. Can you compare it to cod for me and how is it served.

Already answered you in the previous post... not sure how else you could compare.

I've had it served blackened at Lombards Grille in Universal Studios. It was served very plain and was fantastic.
