You can buy magnet paper and print them on to that. I just used card stock and laminated it with self laminating sheets and put magnets on the back. Next time I am going to order some from Vista Print for my FE exchange.

I printed the pics I wanted and "laminated" with clear contact paper. (I used a paper thicker than regular paper, but not as thick at card stock.) I then glued some magnets to the back. You can use magnetic strips / buttons found in craft dept., Hobby Lobby, etc. I also used some old advertising magnets that were on my fridge. Just make sure you glue to the correct side, otherwise they won't "stick" to the door. You can also use the magnetic paper, but I found it to be rather expensive.

Funny, I've been making magnets all day for my cruise in 2 weeks. I made about 50 a few years ago when we got married on the Magic. I like to use the magnet paper. I do not get involved with some of the more powerful programs. I manipulate the image in Paint including the Text because I want to treat everything as graphics. I then paste it to Word or OpenOffice Writer and add borders to the picture. I fit as many magnets on a page as I can. I print them out and rought cut them, my wife goes back and cuts them closer. There are some great magnet threads and amazing people on DisBoards who love working on magnets. I still thank them for cleaning up a couple of my wedding magnets. Good Luck. :thumbsup2

I appreciate this post and hope I get some help here. I know how to make the magnets but what I had trouble with was finding pictures I wanted to use. I spent a lot of time on the magnet threads here and they are overwhelming. I tried doing a search for pictures of princesses and could get no links.

I do have the instructions from Jt and Dolly and then I am stuck! I would appreciate any advice someone can give a newbie.

Thanks everyone for your great advice!

To floridagram.........try putting it in your google search like this...example...... Mickey mouse pirate clip art...or Mickey mouse pirate wallpaper. Just play around with it like that typing in what character you would like

I also used the magnet paper and printed whatever images I wanted on it. Easy to do!

I just save all of the images that I make myself or have made here (THANK YOU to the designers here) and put them on MS PowerPoint pages, as many as I can fit to a page. I print the pages out on my HP OfficeJet (ink) printer using magnet paper that I get from Staples.

@suffieldhockeymom

How do you out the messages to PP? Do you use a PC or a mac? I have downloaded them on my MacBook Pro and cannot move them anywhere out of preview. Sorry, I am a newbie. Thanks!

I have a PC. If you don't have too many to do let me know what you want customized and what you want on them and I can do it and sent back the images as photo files so all you have to do is print them. I've gotten pretty good over the past few weeks. I made over 20 magnets for our July cruise.
