Is there such a thing? I miss having pictures on my refrigerator. :sad1:
Many thanks. Hope everyone is having a great day!

I haven't found any to work on the front of the fridge, but they do work on the sides. However, I solved the problem of putting the kids pictures/report cards on the front by just using a small piece of scotch tape. Works fine.

We have used the blue painters tape if we want to stick something up. I also use it on the wood cabinet that surrounds our fridge. It is great because it leaves no sticky residue and peels right off :cool1:

I saw an ad in a magazine for magnets that worked on stainless but I haven't been able to find them anywhere.

I've got magnets stuck all over all my stainless steel appliances. Is there some reason they shouldn't be sticking? Am I violating laws of physics in my own home? :rotfl:

Magnets aren't attracted to stainless steel. You just have some plain old iron underneath that attracts them.

I hate my stainless fridge for this very reason!! I've tried everything... I bought thin magnetic sheets and put them on w/ double sided tape - but the sheets are so thin, no magnets stick to them - they just slide down. I've done the double sided sticky tape thing for a hook to hang my calendar on - that's working so far. I bought a small magnetic/dry-erase-marker board (it's cute - black and grey so it matches the stainless nicely), but it's started to fall off. I think the double sided tape eventually dries out - I notice the fridge door gets warm, especially when we're away for a week and it's not getting opened. the fridge was making funny noises the other day, and I was so happy we'd maybe have to get a new one (i'd never get real stainless again). They have regular fridges now that just look stainless (that's what one of the pp's must have if magnets are sticking). that's what i'd love! I like the blue tape idea - I can't tell you how much goo-gone I've gone through w/ this stupid fridge!

I refuse to hang anything on my SS fridge. I just use the side.
However, why not try that magnetic paint? Paint it on a chunk of wall in your kitchen & voila!

Googled a little and it seems that stainless steel can be made in all sorts of ways since it's an alloy... and different methods can result in it either being magnetic or not. I guess I must have accidentally lucked into a company that makes them magnetic. Next time I buy an appliance, I'll be sure to take a magnet with me to do a test before I commit. :thumbsup2 FWIW, I have the older model (2005ish) of this fridge and it's magnetic:

So if you're looking for magnetic stainless steel fridges, try fridgidaire. ;)

Magnetic Paint? I never thought of that and I do need to repaint the kitchen soon. Until then, I'll just use the tape. Thanks for the tips everyone. Glad to know that I am not the only person frustrated by this. Have a wonderful day!!

Try these magnets for the magnetic boards:

These puppies are amazing. The magnets are so strong. I really do hold up 12 pages with one magnet But becareful when getting them near anything that can't be magnetized. We put one near a very nice compass and now it no longer works.:sad2:
