magnets & concierge suites on the wonder

it is my understanding that magnets don't work on the concierge doors. a friend is traveling on the wonder soon and was very disappointed to hear that. where else can she put up her magnets? on the other side of the door, on the walls in the room, etc.?

It's been discussed where you might want to bring super strong magnets.... there may be too many coats of paint for weak magnets. Please don't bring paint thinner.

On some of the ships the concierge have wooden doors. I don't know if the Wonder does or not. We need someone who has sailed concierge on her to answer.

The Dream and Fantasy have a wood veneer on the Concierge doors. Normal strength magnets do not seem to work. The Magic and Wonder suites have standard metal cabin doors like the rest of the ship and all magnets work fine. We haven't run into a problem with coats of paint preventing them from working on the classics.

I put magnets on my concierge room door on the Wonder and they stuck just fine.

As noted, the Concierge doors on the Wonder are just like all the other doors onboard, painted. On the Dream class ships there is a wood veneer that makes the typical "fridge-type" rubber magnet not adhere well. You need a stronger magnet for those doors.

Agree bar the coast of paint are an issue.

I generally agree with these responses from cruisers who like me have been in concierge on the Wonder and other ships.
