My wife, two daughters, in-laws and I will be traveling to WDW soon. In the past for trips like these we have all had magicbands. My father in law has a pacemaker/defibrillator and due to this both my in-laws do not wear their magicbands. My kids love magicbands and love to pick them out for their grandparents so we continue to get them. On previous trips we would just keep the grandparents magic bands in our backpack. Upon entering parks or entering an attraction with fast pass, we would give the magicbands to the grandparents, they would scan in, and the magicbands would go back in the backpack.

I have MDE setup on my iphone and manage everything. My wife will use MDE on her iphone as well using my MDE account. Grandparents and kids do NOT use MDE. I have setup MagicMobile on my iphone and have added all family members passes to my iphone wallet.

This year with MagicMobile and Genie+ I have a few questions.

Part Entry (We always enter the parks as a complete group)
  1. Can we scan in using a combination of magicbands and iphone wallet passes? Wife, Kids and I scan in with Magicbands and I scan my iphone wallet passes for the grandparents
  2. Is there a way to scan multiple people in at the same time using the iphone wallet passes or do i need to open each family members pass individually and scan them individually?
Genie+ and ILL
  1. Can the iphone wallet passes be used to scan in at Genie+/ILL touchpoints?
  2. As with park entry, can we scan in using a combination of magicbands and iphone wallet passes?
  3. As with park entry, is their as way to scan multiple people in at the same time using the iphone wallet passes or do i need to open each family members pass individually and scan them individually?

Thanks
Ken

You can scan into anything using a combination of magic bands and phones. I believe each needs to be scanned individually.

Yes to both #2
Each guest can choose their media regardless of what the travel party does. We had two apple watches, two MB's and one used their park pass card.

Yes to both #3

But - having been behind several parties doing this at entrance and LL it looks to be time consuming and cumbersome. At park entrance you have to pull up the pass, then have the correct person use finger scan, then repeat. Then if there is a ticket issue the others can't scan in until that is resolved. LL seems to be faster, but you would have to stand at the tap style and again do each person separately as they walk past.

Can I suggest getting a card for those who won't wear the MB? They can then put it in a plastic card pouch on a lanyard to be worn or a retractable one clipped on a backpack or belt. This way each person can easily tap in on their own.

If you have old MB's for them, you can remove the disk and put that on a "magic keeper" retractable keychain and use that without wearing them.

My dd's use the apple watch but have a MB disc on a magic keeper for a backup as sometimes the watch glitches (seemed to be mostly for purchases though).
