Magicians & Jugglers & a Clown Slide, OH MY! We're going to the BWI... A Nov 2010 PTR

How cute are those pics? We take pics like that of our girls (19, 17, and 9) on the first day of school and have them framed in the house. I cannot believe how fast they grow up...especially with one of mine in college!
What great memories!

So Adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

Look at how little they were when you first went.:lovestruc Precious little ones. Now they're on their way to Big Stinky-hood.:rotfl2: It's cool that you just sort of happened to take their pics at the same spot.

Your story about your DS sniffing the shirt made me laugh so hard-- esp when he threw it back on the ground!!!!!!!:rotfl2: Boys are so funny!

You HAVE to send me a pic of the dreaded clown pool. :cool1: I'd ride it !!!!!!!!!:scared1:popcorn:::banana::rotfl:

TBird- Gran Fiesta is the ride in Mexico in Epcot.
It's got Donald and the Three Caballeros in there. It's so fun! :goodvibes

Well now I feel really dumb! We've ridden that several times. I just never knew the name of it, I guess. :guilty: I must have called it the Mexico ride.

Now on to more important topics. ;) Whose season is going to be awful? Are you talking about your Gators or did you catch part of the LSU game? :sad2: Talk radio is getting verrry interesting around here.

Geaux Saints! :cheer2:

:upsidedow It's okay- we usually just call it the Mexico ride as well.

As far as the important topic.......:rotfl: I didn't see your game and only caught a few minutes here and there of ours due to my SIL's wedding occurring on Saturday (DH told her if she ever got married again on Opening day of Gator football he'd throttle her---):lmao: but I watched highlights on ESPN of LSU.
We both have a long season ahead of us!
On a positive note-----
you could probably get GREAT tix to the FL/LSU game in OCT for very cheap!:rolleyes1

Talk radio........ ::yes:: Been listening to ESPN radio on XM- it's getting ugly all over. Haven't stalked tigerdroppings in a bit... headed there now.:tiptoe:

(Sorry Shelly, didn't mean to throw football into your thread but you know me and TBird-- we have to talk about it. I suppose this would fall under Everything. Or Nothing. Depending on your POV. We'll talk about it there.

Besides -- if you'd get your behind over here we could talk about your trip!:rotfl2::hug:)

Hey there! I'm here! :goodvibes:snooty:

Great start! I love the Disney smells convo! I have a few of my own :thumbsup2 We always take Johnsons baby lotion for when we get out of the sun and I have been using 'Coconut Lime Verbena' from Bath & Body Works. The conbo of the 2 of them just smells like Disney to me. But then again, it smells like Disney in hot sunny summer weather. I don't know how I would feel about it if I went to WDW in cold weather.

Hmmm.... we may have to test that theory next Christmas. ;)

Can't wait to hear more! I need something to occupy my time for the next 2 weeks! I always think that I am going to do a PTR, but never do one. :confused3

I'll just read yours! No pressure or anything.

Wow! They have grown up SO much since that first trip. I love the idea of taking a picture in front of a certain spot each year!

Great pics of the boys. It is so nice to be able to look back at stuff like this and see how much they have grown. We do this with our son at the todem pole outside of the mercantile at the Wilderness Lodge.

they are sooo cute!!! Your little one was tiny that first time!!!!!! We have some pics there too...I usually hit the spot in UK with the little thatched cottage....love that area!!!!

Thanks! :goodvibes A DIS friend of mine posted pics of her little girl in the same spot in Toontown over the years and I was thinking that I wish I had done that. Then I thought - I wonder if I did?! I looked back and that's what I found. And the funny thing is, is that they are both always standing on the same side every year!! It's kind of like they knew they were doing it! :upsidedow

Ok...smelled the perfume today...one of my kids says (and you are gonna die!!!!)...smells like cigarettes!!!!:rotfl: And I said, it's because my friend **** wears it....and they said YEAH!!! It smells just like her!!! And the reason is...she smokes, so when she gets out of her vehicle she coats herself with it to cover up the cigarette smell that I am deathly allergic to. But...scents kill me usually, so she really isn't making it better for me!!!!! I like the Primo----it instantly to me back to High School----aaaalllll the girls in my school were wearing it!!! I actually got the one today that's the comparison to Cliniques Happy----I wore Happy for a short while...then I started keeping a sore throat:confused:
Now, when I smell the Primo I will think Disney & Shelly!!!!

Oh no!! :scared1: Cigarettes? :rotfl: That's hilarious!! I know what you mean, I have a certain family member that smokes and knows that DS8 and I can't be around it because of our asthma, so she sprays (what smells like an entire bottle each time) herself with perfume or some type of flowery spray before she gets out of her car. Which totally makes it worse for me because now I just smell flowery cigarettes! :faint:

I just love the pictures of the boys through the years! That is awesome how you didn't even plan it!

In my family, my DH is the only one of us who won't ride everything. He hates any kind of spinning (teacups ). But on our last trip, we talked him into RNRC, only because he couldn't see the ride. It was our first day, rope drop, first ride. Big mistake. After we got off, he had to sit down on a bench for at least 30 minutes. :sad2: The kids were so anxious to get going; after all, we had just gotten there and now here was our sad little family sitting on a bench on Hollywood Boulevard while the park filled up. We all still tease DH about that.

OK, I'm going to show my Disney dumbness and say that I have no idea what Grand Fiesta is! What type of ride is it and in what park?

Looking forward to reading more! :thumbsup2

Thanks Teri! :)

My DH rode RNRC once too. And only once. :rotfl: Not his thing either. :confused3

I see JO told you about the Gran Fiesta Tour! :thumbsup2 It actually was probably called something else the last time you were there because it wasn't all that long ago that they changed the name of it.

Thanks Lauren! :goodvibes Yes, it's amazing how fast the years pass. I often wonder how my little boys got so big so fast.

Yes, so little and cute and now onto the stinky pre-teen stage. :scared1:

I guess when I yelled - who left their shirt in the hall? I wasn't specific enough to say pick it up and put it in the hamper and he figured if it wasn't his then he wasn't in trouble so he really didn't care!! :upsidedow :rotfl:

Oh you are totally getting a clown slide picture on your phone!!! :scared1::lmao:

Sorry!! I was busy with PTO this morning. And then I decided I better hit WalMart and the grocery store while I was out. Good grief, before I knew it my morning was gone. :faint:

You and Teri know you're always welcome to chat about football on my threads ::yes::, just don't expect me to join in!! :lmao:

:welcome: Heather!!

Yes, you should definitely go see WDW all dressed up for Christmas sometime!! November is great - it's not even cold yet!

I'll try to keep you occupied until your trip!! :goodvibes

Over the years we have done several things at WDW like -- pressed pennies, autograph books, Epcot masks, pin trading, etc. We have really done the pressed pennies to death! :rotfl: The kids feel they are too old for the autograph books now and have all the ones they want anyway. But the one thing they haven't outgrown and never gets old for them is pin trading! They started it on the second or third trip. They absolutely love it. And it helps that neither of them are the least bit shy and will stop a CM dead in their tracks to look at their pins! :lmao:

Before trip number 4 (Jan 2009) they were starting to get a nice little collection, maybe about 7-8 pins each. And they liked and wanted to keep most of them. So I bought some on ebay before that trip to trade. They ended up liking half of them! But they did get some awesome trades out of some of them as well. Since trip number 5 was less than 10 months after that trip I didn't get them anymore in-between. And they made some more trades on trip number 5 last November. Here is what they ended up with by the last day of that trip - I took this picture right on the table at OKW!

DisneyNovember20091162-1.jpg

So again, they are to the point where they love and want to keep most of their pins! :upsidedow I think they each have about 15 now. Yesterday I decided to browse the pins on ebay and thought if I could get them for about $1 each I would go ahead and get them some. Well, I got 20 pins for $14.51 and free shipping!!!!! :cool1: I didn't tell the boys yet. I'll wait until they come in the mail!

Since the kids (DS11 particularly) think they are too big to the the Epcot masks now, plus they have done them before, I decided to make them their very own Epcot Passports!

With the help of some very creative people here on the DIS, this is what I came up with ~

You're right, I think we'd better take this conversation outside.....or at least over to the Ev-No thread! But before we do, I'll say this: If we suck, I hope y'all win the SEC. Anybody but Little Nicky and Bama. :scared1: I can't believe you've gone to tigerdroppings! It is getting brutal over there.

Good, maybe I'm not as crazy as I thought. ;) Wasn't it called "El something"? Oh, that really narrows it down, doesn't it? :rotfl2: Everything in Mexico starts with "El"

Ooooh yeah, that's it!! It was El Rio de Tiempo!

Well, I printed them out, put them together, laminated the covers, and added their names to the inside covers. But I don't know if I'd say made them. :rotfl: I got the idea and design from this thread ~ http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1509917

Ding! Ding! Ding! El Rio de Tiempo. El Thank You!

In my book, that's making them! Remember, I'm the one who has trouble every Wednesday uploading, downloading, backloading, and boatloading. ;)

I forgot to ask - how have the boys liked their first week back at school?

I forgot to ask - how have the boys liked their first week back at school?

DS8 loves it! I was a bit worried about him because he moved up to a new building. I actually have them both in one building for one year!! But he is fine. I should have known, he's so laid back and not much bothers him. :rotfl:

Not getting too much info out of DS11. A lot of "fine", "good", "yes", "no", etc. :confused3 He's to that pre-teen I don't tell my parents much faze. :sad2: They should be home from their third day any minute. Maybe I can get some more info out of him today. :wizard:
