Magicbands-how long until they expire?

Hello,
How long do old magicbands last? Is there any expiry? I have one from 2019, would it still be good for future holidays?
Sorry if this is elsewhere, I couldn't find it.

1. More or less, forever.
2. No.
3. Yup.

For MOST important functions at WDW, a MB will operate indefinitely.

There are a very, very few functions (and not very significant ones) that require that the internal battery be operational. (Those batteries last 2-4 years, approx.)

But, again, for most functions, a MB, even with a dead battery , will still perform all functions that use a "tap" to operate:
Park entrance gates.
Resort room doors.
Room charging for meals and shopping.
FastPass scans (and more.)

MagicBands don't expire although the battery used for long distance things such as ride photos sometimes stops working. As long as you keep a MagicBand attached to your account, you can use it.
