If I have magic bands from last years trip do I just use them?

If so do I need to do anything or are they still active?

I check in Nov 1 so does this mean Sept 1 I can make FP+?

Thanks!

They are still good and you will also get a new set for your Nov trip- you can use both interchangeable for you trip.

magicbands stay active for 2yrs i believe is what i read on MDE.
you can use the same one or you could deactivate it online (can be reactivated just as easily) and customize new ones that will be sent to you about 1 month prior to your trip.
personally thats what i did cuz to me they are a souvenir.

you can make your fp+ selections 60 days prior to check in so if you are checking in on november 1st that would mean 60 days is septebmer 2nd.

The battery powered long range transmitter should last two years. This long range transmitter is not used for park entry, FP+ queue entry, touch to pay, etc.

Just like the RFID cards, MagicBands contain a passive RFID chip that receives power from the touch points. This passive RFID chip should continue to work after the long range transmitter is no longer functional.

Very true but Disney may want the battery powered circuit operational and they may issue you a grey band if it isn't.

And more counter service venue may switch over to a system like Be Our Guest, where the food is ordered, and then a runner brings out your order. The long range transmitter would be required for that.

Thanks for the help...

I don't have park tickets but have my SSR reservation...That should give me 60 day FP+ access correct?

You must have park admission linked to MDE in order to make advance FP+ selections.

Ok thanks...Last year I already had annual pass so I didn't have to think about buying in advance...Now I do I guess since I don't have pass...
