MagicBand+ at Walt Disney World *NOW AVAILABLE!!!*

Bought ours online for my thanksgiving trip... man that was a pain, the payment screen kept having the loading button on it and would never load. I logged in on incognito mode for it finally load. So if you are having problems like I did try incognito mode.
I am super happy I am getting the new 50th Partner magic band! Soo pretty.
Common problem according to Tom Bricker (Disney Tourist Blog), I simply changed from Edge to Chrome and it went through at once while Edge was still trying to load.

Just hope your resort room has enough outlets or USBs to charge multiple bands each night (assuming a family).
Exactly. 3 magic bands, 2 phones, battery pack for all the G+ fiddling time and an apple watch all need charging at night potentially for us.

I just toted ours up. For nDH and I it will be 2 iPhones, 2 Apple Watches, 2 MB+ and 2 battery packs or portable chargers (assuming those are used every day).

I think I'm adding 'power strips' to my Disney packing list!!!

Do that many people sleep with their magic bands on? Just put it on the charger overnight. Easy peasy.
Unless you are the guy posting that his had a full charge, but died after 2 hours today. Supposedly it will still work for room and park access and LL when dead.

And also assuming you have enough USB ports and outlets in the room for all the family's stuff---- 3 phones--- 3 portable chargers (yep we need that many- got tired of mine being used by others and not having much power left when I needed it)- and now 3 magic bands.

I like the way they look though- and they have some fun designs.

Does everyone have to get one or decline one for the order to go through.
I have 7 people.....2 declined, 2 picked and the rest are deciding.....but nothing has gone though

Okay....got it. Everyone has to do something. So I declined the rest and it went through. They can be added later
All order have to be made at the same time. If they are declined, that's it for getting them from MDE. Their only option will be to get them at full price from ShopDisney.

Actually, they can't. You have to order them all at once. Once declined you can not go back and order for people who declined. You can buy them at WDW or on Shop Disney, you just don't get the discount.

Does anyone know if they’ll be offering a preorder on these prior to coming for a discount, like we can with normal magic bands? Well….what few are in stock anyways.
Yes – I just purchased them for our trip in two weeks. They were $10 off each. They have to be picked up at the front desk of your resort.

Those who have ordered through MDE for a resort stay...did you get an email confirmation of your purchase? I got an order confirmation screen (which I printed to PDF), but I haven't received an email confirmation.
Now, how long will it take the Etsy folks with 3D printers to design a new puck holder to put on a watch band for these? I'm kind of hoping not long, since I want the new puck with the features, but don't really like wearing MagicBands and much prefer sliding a puck holder onto my watch band.
Ditto!!!

8 bands, 4 phones, 4 watches, 3 batteries for us:).

suspected this to be the case but wasn't sure. We have 4, and only 1 of us is sure on buying one, and it's one of the sure to be more popular designs the MF Star Wars gray one, which I don't know how quickly it would sell

I have a large brick with 6 different USB connections on it. I bought it for cruising but it comes in handy for all travel.
That sounds like a very substantial battery. Ours only have 2 usb's on our battery and it's quite heavy for carrying around the parks.

Do you guys think that Orange Bird one is fine for a guy? I know that's a very personal choice, and the colors are more feminine but it's neat that it's an orange on the main design. I'm down to the Toy Story, Millennium Falcon gray star wars, black Mickey, and Orange Bird. Had just weeded out Up.

My friend agreed that the black Mickey would look cool lit up due to the black background and side design colors, but hesitant due to it being hot from the sun. I never felt my black watch was super hot. We were both surprised no Marvel. Would have liked a Figment.

Solo. Easy peasy.

But even when traveling with family we have our bricks so we aren’t dependent on USB slots alone.

I say get what you want! I don’t think the orange bird is necessarily feminine, could be either!

How Long Does It Take to Recharge a MagicBand+?

So, we broke out our 10W portable charging brick and hooked up our MagicBand+ to it to begin charging. From a starting position of “Charge Soon” to a charge state of “Full” it took 75 minutes. That said, we don’t think that all “full” charge states are created equal. Without a battery percentage displayed in the My Disney Experience app, it’s possible that “full” could start at 85%. What seems to be clear in our testing is that “full” is not always 100%.

We had two MagicBand+ wearables showing “full” when we started playing the Batuu Bounty Hunters game, and one showed “low” 90 minutes into playing while the other one showed “partial” at the same time. While it’s possible that the MagicBand+ devices could have experienced different power drain, it’s more likely that the “full” on one MagicBand+ wasn’t the exact same as the “full” on another MagicBand+.
If you purchase a MagicBand+, we would plan on a full charge taking at least 90 minutes. From there, the MagicBand+ will lose battery at various rates based on usage. The Batuu Bounty Hunters game seems to be the biggest drain on the battery life with MagicBand+ batteries lasting anywhere from 90 minutes to 3 hours while playing the game. If you plan on playing Batuu Bounty Hunters, make sure that you have a way to recharge your MagicBand+ while at the parks. Disney officially says that MagicBand+ will last anywhere from 1-3 days.

It's Disney, who cares what others may or may not think.

If this 60+ gal can wear a 'Disney Princess' MB, you can wear an Orange Bird!

You do you, my friend. You do you!!

This is why I started bringing an extension cord to WDW. I brought one in May when it was me, my sister and a friend and even without Magicbands to charge we were glad to have it since we each had phones and power banks.
