MagicBand allergies

My wife has some of the worst skin allergies. So many things that cause a breakout or rash. Are the MagicBand hypoallergenic? Is there a place we can find out what they are made of? And is there a better option for her to do instead of using the bands?

They are plastic/ silicone. They always irritated my skin( same with most fit bit/ Apple Watch bands).
TBH by the third day, I was attaching it to my lanyard with enough slack that I could reach the scan thingies

Just silicone/plastic.
She can... not wear it, get a magic keeper keychain, or use a plastic ard.

The magic keeper is great and offers a similar ease like the magic band. But, getting a plastic card is free if you want to go that route.

They make these things that you can put the "puck" (working part) from the Magic band in, instead of wearing it. The top clips on your purse/belt loop/whatever and the little pouch pulls out on a retractable string.

I think that is changing with the no free magic bands the app does have your ticket as far as charging not sure if that's changed

This is how I wear mine. I love the magic keepers. I want to make a new one for my trip later this year. I just attached the keeper to a badge pulley that I bought at an office suopky store and hot glued a flower.

I think it will be at least the end of 2021 or in 2022 before the app functions for park entry and more use at WDW.

That capability in the app is coming, but is not yet available. Only opening your room door, so far.

In the years before bands, I used one of those little holders but it was a plastic card holder that I bought at WDW. Midway through the trip it broke. I was in the middle of Epcot, and it was a royal pain to lose my KttW card.

That said, we use more robust lanyards at Universal. As of 2019, they were still using plastic cards. She can request a plastic card at WDW, or use the new phone options. If lanyards bother her, a secure pocket would be my preference for where to keep her card. You want something secure, but also easy to locate. A pocket with a zipper is great. Probably the phone options would be great for her.
