Magically Addicted to Pixie Dust...

I just had to post because...

1. We're both from MA
2. Your DH and my BF are both named Kris (and spelt that way)
3. Its your DH first time and it was my BF's first time at Disney World.

I'd been reading yours but hadn't had a moment to post yet, because I'm trying not to forget my trip before I write it all down. I misplaced my notebook.

Hope you had a deep fried candy bar at the Big E!

I love your PTR so far! I can tell you're TR is going to be great once you get back :)

The Grand Floridian is also on my must-do list! It is just so beautiful. One day we'll have the money for it...just not today  I can't wait to see it when we go back in December with all of the Christmas decorations.

I too LOVE the Dole Whip Float. It is something I'm so looking forward to having again in December.

I hate that I'm just now finding your report but I will be following along from here on out. Can't wait to hear more of your plans! :goodvibes

mmm that Dole Whip float looks great!

Can't wait to have one.. only about 12 weeks to wait now ;) hehe.

Did you know you can buy the mix from Dole website?! :goodvibes

Emma princess: x

I had no idea - your addiction is obviously stronger than mine ;) but I appreciate it. Not sure it would ever taste the same for me outside WDW!

Yay for Mickey Mail!
Mmmm, nothing like the first Dole Whip of a trip!

No way girlfriend - nothing like it. I honestly think about it all year.

How was the Big E? I went there for an animal science lab in college (Umass Amherst) and had to spend the whole day in the goat and cow barns. It was... interesting...

I love the sound of your MK day! My suggestion: please don't skip the Country Bears! I am their biggest fan- I know all the words!

Big E was fun. Food was good, lots of fair-type activities. Petting Zoo, crafts barn, fried anything. Good to experience... but not sure ill make it an annual event for us. Like you said... 'interesting'. The people-watching was unbeatable though! ;)

Country Bears, huh? Gotta tell you, wasnt expecting that - but I think ill take you up on that idea. I wouldnt have picked that, but im not sure ive been in YEARS if at all - so something new is always a good ~ and with such a full MK day, I want to try and see as much as possible... Great suggestion :thumbsup2

Hello! fellow MA girl here! Cant wait for your TR. The first thing my family ever did at MK and ever since is an absolute fave is Mickeys Philarmagic!

Alright MA pride! Getting all these MA girls chattering is making me want to plan to meet up sometime this fall - maybe we can all get together during the nasty snowy months and make fake dole whips  Philharmagic is a DEFINITE! Kris - the DH in training that he is - has never been! Im secretly excited to see his reaction to the popping corks :scared1: since I almost hit the roof my first time

I love that you mentally switched Sydney's (Sidney's) name around!

Now I'm craving a Dole Whip.

Oh, im mental all right. But how can I not secretly love that I named a baby kitten something that I love so much? ::MickeyMo

I cannot wait to try the Dole Whip... Its def on my to-do's! :) is it only at MK & the Poly? We're gonna be at MK 2 days... but what if I need another one? :rotfl:

I KNOW! I was so bummed when they were only available in MK. Then, when I found out that you could get them inside the Poly... I suddenly found myself over there all the time. I think they need a speed pass lane for the machine!!

If you look back on my itinerary, the first thing we are going to do after getting our AP's is go to Main Street for a Casey's hot dog and a Dole Whip!!!

(I promised my Prince Connor that I would indulge in the tradition of Casey's for him so I thought lets make it a double tradition and go to Aloha Isle too!)

We aren't even staying in MK long because we will be resort hopping at that point and want to get back to OKW to rest up before our 'Ohana reservation...but we will jump onto Main Street for a bit of nibbling and shopping and basking in the glow of what IS a DOLE WHIP!

SIGH........:cloud9:

And I cannot wait for my MM....I am counting days as we all do and I am at 40 days today...which means in a couple of weeks I should have mine!!! :yay:

I have my credit voucher from Disney.com from the kickback on the check in gifts I purchased before they went on sale so I intend on getting my Dooney bag with it! Just knowing another Princess in the area has the same Princess bag and who shares my love for all things Princess-y makes me feel so good! :goodvibes

Dont let him miss out on Philharmagic! Or BTM at night! Or Country Bear Jamboree! They were my favorite characters as a real little one. I love the People Mover!! I want to do the Riverboat this time - can you believe I never have?! I think it would be SO romantic at night!! *Swoon*

OH! And Sidney/Disney...hilARious!!

I know! Riverboat is a great idea, I haven't done it in awhile either - but you will definitely love it. Its a great relaxing trip with lots to see, and all the lights add for extra magic. (Remember if you have your camera - turn your flash off and use the night setting - or manually jack up your ISO for ideal and non-blurry night shots) Then hook me up to see them!!

YOU MUST GET THE BAG! Now that I have one I want to share in the excitement with everyone. My mom is already making bets on how long it takes me to get a wristlet too... complaining that I dont want to carry the big bag all the time ... and I want something smaller just for the parks :Pinkbounc I have to make sure im being a gracious princess - and not a total brat! Next thing you know they'll be calling me Anastasia

WOOHOO! Thanks for jumping in and not lurking around - I love new friends. I feel so humble every day when people share their lives and secrets with me - its made me feel so welcome on DISboards. Its my place to go where you all understand the excitement and passion like I do. Keep me posted on your TR, and tell you BF that he spells his name the right way for us! pirate:

Im working on getting on the ball with typing up my plans - its so hard because I get so invested in reading everyone elses and yammering back and forth with you guys :lovestruc so Ill get to Tuesday of our trip today, after I write back to all my sweet DISfriends. Maybe the GF is in our future, we'll just have to wait for some magic deal to come along :tinker: but you know it will happen. I mean... Dreams Come True... helllloooooo ;)

Ok- off to post our Tuesday plans - and lets just say im going to need a LOT of help in the decision making department...

*points to huge amounts of confusion on the face*

why would you not get a wristlet to match the bag?

why would you get the bag and not the wristlet?

why is mom even entertaining such a bet? :rotfl2:

I will be the Drizilla to your Anastasia...no worries.

Tuesday has no definitive plan yet. Insanity :lmao: I know. Its the one day during the week that was left to be flexible to accommodate any random or spontaneous "Hey... I really Wanna..." 's. The idea is for it not to be a 'park' day. The only thing on the Dis-agenda is a dinner reservation @ O'Hana at 8:20p. Which... I gotta tell you im elated for. Not only is the food amazing, but our family has eaten there *almost* every year for the last 10 years. To the point where the Hawaiian woman entertainer (Liola, Leona, something?) actually recognized our family last year. We adore everything about the family style dinner, the location having sentimental values... and Hi, lets not forget the Dole Whips people. I mean... they're RIGHT downstairs :rotfl:

That being said, ideas have been thrown out to try a water park... Typhoon Lagoon being me & the hubs himself's first choice - since we're still looking at potential 80 degree temps in October. We have never seen or done Typhoon Lagoon, and at my Disney Daddy-O's suggestion- I think it could be fun.

typhoon-lagoon-.jpg

Other requests would be Disney Mini Golf (Fantasia Gardens....and something else? Never been, has anyone? any advice?) and of course spending some time at Downtown Disney. Alsagirl is pro shopper-in-training and my DisMom and I plan on doing some DAMAGE downtown this year  Sorry Dad! XMas ornaments, sweatshirts, and surprises to last all year - you never know when a small Disney gift is going to show up in our family. ::MickeyMo::MinnieMo

100_4295.jpg

So... with such a lackadaisical plan - whats a girl to do? Any suggestions of things im not thinking of? Any experience in taking a random non-park day and still having a great time? Do you think im crazy to stack a day with Typhoon Lagoon in the morning, then shower and shop for the late afternoon to hit dinner later on? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

And - as a fun bit of inside info: DM ::MinnieMo DD ::MickeyMo and Alsagirl :tink: have informed me that they hopped on to start reading the hilarity of the blog. So - no more pics of Allie surprises until right before we leave ;) Im already planning a last minute post with pics the night before so you can see all the crazy decorations, suitcases, and family dinner before we go! Below are a few pics just for fun - because im just that person that feels like its easier to be related to in photos!

Me & the Disney Dad himself ... he makes sure I feel like a princess: the entire time

Wedding shot of Kris and I... since we are technically celebrating our first year married this coming Sunday. The real celebration with gifts and dinner will be on Thursday of our trip. Details coming soon, but heres a look...

and just for fun - the animations that the OUTSTANDING Tebi did for us! Cant wait to find creative uses for them, I LOVE them.

jmat.jpg

Thanks again, as always, for stopping by and sharing your love and life and stories with me :goodvibes it means a lot, and keeps me glued to my Mac everyday! XOXO

Yes, Country Bears! But only go when you are in a good mood and ready to be a little silly. And try to listen to the songs- the lyrics are absolutely crazy!

Anywho, you should definitely go to Typhoon Lagoon. It's the best water park ever and the Slush N'Gusher slides are awesome! You'll work up a good appetite for a delicious 'Ohana dinner.

The wedding pic is beautiful! Where did you guys get married?

Joycie! :yay: you have the best inside info, seems like youve done it all... Country Bears will be watched! Im in for the lyrics, and since Kris is from Kentucky - the down home country should make him feel pretty good.. or at least we can try and name the bears after his relatives!

Kris and I were married at Indian Pond Country Club, in Kingston MA. We loved it, and ill post a few of my favorite pics on Sunday to celebrate our anniversary.

Also.. im so glad youre home! I read your TR every morning with coffee :surfweb:

ok so 'lame brown bowl cut = adorable. I like it! I cut my hair that way a couple of years ago and my DF wouldnt talk to me for a week. Seriously. *nods head* I keep threatening to do it again.

I think your idea of TL in the morning and then shower and shopping is a good idea before dinner for a non park day! I have never been to any of the water parks either and cant wait to experience it when we all go! What made you choose TL over BB? I havent played mini golf while there either but I hear its a blast.....I would want to add in a Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream to make it more tempting!

One thing I plan on doing while we are spending our last day in DTD is to do the Characters in Flight balloon ride. I hear its especially beautiful at night!

On our non park day we are resort hopping and going horseback riding in FW! I cant wait!

I actually like the haircut! Cute!!

Day off.... we always do DTD. Last time we were there we actually saw a movie, which seemed strange to me at first---I mean we can do that at home---but it turned out to be nice. We saw Up, it had just come out, and we just sat and relaxed and stayed cool, it really was surprisingly nice. I also like to go to the outlet mall.

Hey - just a quick fun update. DM :flower3: came over last night to work on our LGMH bag tags. She also made her Mousekeeping envelopes ::MickeyMo and I worked on cutting out some fun bag tags and things for later use. I thought the LGMH tags actually came out well considering how easy and fast they were to make. We just knew we wanted them to stand out and be durable. Heres our station: my dining room table :wizard:

P1070096.jpg

Moms LGMH: (I held it up against my sweatshirt to make sure you could see it. If I used flash it all bounced back at me...)
P1070098.jpg

You can kind of see that we used some pre-made bag tag laminate sheets from Scott, that even came with the rubbery ropes to use... after we made what we wanted for a tag, we just pressed the glue sheets together and it sealed nice and strong together... so easy!

My Glittery Tag project...
P1070108.jpg

My LGMH tag: (I also used the animation made by teby... and added crystals for some extra bling to the bow on each side) princess:
P1070116.jpg

Then snapped this one of Mums keys before she left... bet you cant tell which one is the key to my house...
P1070113.jpg

And finally.... my coffee this morning as I blog this. Because I love Disney, I love coffee, and my new love is this PTR. <3
P1070122.jpg

Have a great afternoon!!

The most I have done so far is put a calendar up in our bedroom to show how many days we have left...I want to do some super fun crafts!!! *stomps foot*

I wonder what would be good to do for DF and I...

Mousekeeping envelopes are a must even though we dont get it daily in DVC so I will only have to make one.

We already have Disney luggage tags.

Ive done the check in gifts.

Nope...I still feel schlumpy. :guilty:

I guess it will be more important to do all this extra stuff when Step-Princess comes with next time...and she can help!

I also have a variety of Disney mugs that I use for my morning coffee too! It just tastes better out of those!

Have a magical day! :wizard:

Have a magical day! :wizard:

Two Things: 1. I love that the calander is in the bedroom. Wake up, fall asleep, count down. I like it!

2. What are check in gifts? Is this some sort of Magic and creative idea that im not thinking of?!? Hook a sister up.

The check in gifts I bought from Disnystore.com...you know the loot I took pics of - the personalized bathrobes and such? But I looooove your goodie bag ideas for your cousin...I want a Princess to do that for!!

And thanks...the wake up and see the calendars first thing and the crossing the current day off just before we go to bed makes for a happy sleep. :goodvibes

I think a morning TL trip coupled with an afternoon of DTD is totally doable! You'll probably just have to start your day either, but that's not bad. You could even hit up DTD after dinner-- I know WoD always stays open late.

So... I think I have missed something important on the board... what is up with the green mickey's?? :confused3

Lime green mickey heads (or LGMH for short) are universal symbol of the DIS boards. They're just the Alien Green paint chip from the Disney line of paint (you can usually find them at Home Depot). Lots of members attach them to their bags or use them as part of their window decorations. :thumbsup2

Lol, your mom's key to your house is great! I love the little Disney princess touches in your house! The coffee mug is adorable.

Okay, that makes me feel better. I'll have to go to home depot now! :cutie:

Love the LGMH and other tags!

I'm sad that I didn't plan mine out better... I almost never carried the bag I had it on.

Also, your PTR is making me realize that I my next WDW trip is way far away... but I can't talk about it till I get further in my TR.
So I am gonna live vicariously through yours!

Thanks lady princess: I think so too! And I think you're right about the WoD lateness... if we put in even a full day at Typhoon Lagoon - I cant imagine we'd be there longer than 3 oclock. We'd be beyond raisin fingers - I'd have raisin face! On top of that, the DailyDisney (Orlando sentinel online) did a story on why it was a great idea to do a water park in the fall. Less crowds and still great weather. The fam and I took that as a sign, so it looks like we'll make that the plan. (and Kris seems at least pretty amped about TL and the snorkeling, while I just want to float in the lazy river for awhile).

So... I think I have missed something important on the board... what is up with the green mickey's?? :confused3

Glad Missy updated you on the phenomenon. Im pretty new to it as well, but im excited to see who recognizes my tags or who's TR I end up on! lol. Now go make some!! :)

I hope so! Im thinking to keep the days straight and little stories that happen - im going to jot down a few "remembers" from the trip each night... so I have things to tell you about when I get home, and not a bunch of pics of the same things everyone else has! The bag tags were cheap and easy to make since they come in pre-cut plastic with cords. Im going to try and keep mine on my backpack or whatever we end up carrying around inside the park... or at least thats the idea anyway :rotfl:

mk- off to type up my plans for Wednesday to share!
