Day 3, October 26, Chef Mickey for Michala’s birthday. You will soon see that Michala’s birthday celebration was a week instead of one day. LOL!!! This was our first time experiencing Chef Mickey. I have to admit my friend Cyndi was so right. It’s wonderful!!! We loved it so much!!! We got our picture made before the meal. It turned out wonderful. It's one of my favorite pictures of the week. Next we got to have pictures with Chef Goofy. He was out in the lobby welcoming everyone. He was great! Once we were seated we got to see Chef Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale. Our server brought Michala a cup cake with a candle and a Mickey chocolate. While everyone sang Happy Birthday to her Pluto came over and squatted down beside her wheelchair. She thought that was just to cool. It was a buffet with excellent food. The characters were great and the food was fantastic. We were all very pleased with it. We decided this would be a must for everyone’s birthdays.

We shopped in the Contemporary shops for a bit and then decided to head to Downtown Disney. As we were leaving Kim asked if you could ride the monorail from there. Great idea! They got to drive the monorail. As we were riding I told Mike I bet she was getting some wonderful pictures. We made a complete circle and when we got off I asked her about the pictures. She said no I just enjoyed our ride together. I couldn’t believe she missed that perfect shot of the castle. Then I stopped and realized she got so much more out of it by not taking pictures. I am so thankful for her and her constant reminders to me.

We went and shopped a little at Downtown Disney. We were anxious to see the new Mr. Potato Head parts. Still not in. They do not know how long it will be. I guess we will have to keep checking and make a special trip back down to pick them up.

We stopped by Old Key West so our friends could see where we were staying, to download pictures and to change into costumes. We got all that done and headed for the Magic Kingdom for the Not So Scray Halloween Party. We got in right around 4:00. We discussed with Grace if she wanted to get a stroller or not. She said she was thinking about when it got to be 12 she might want it. I had told her that she and Marlee Anne could swap out. It actually turned out to be a great thing. It was complimentary for the party. We got a double stroller which was great because Marlee Anne loved to be able to climb in the stroller and sit with Grace.

We went straight to Mickey’s Philharmagic. We were able to get right in for the next show. We had seen it a couple of times and couldn't wait for all them to see it. Everyone loved it! Grace was a little concerned about her Tinkerbell costume getting wet. Once we got outside she checked and everything seemed to be fine.

I forgot to tell you about the costumes. The girls were all 3 Cinderella. Very beautiful princesses I might add. Grace was not going to dress up but the day before we were to leave a friend gave Grace a Tinkerbell costume. Grace was very excited about it and she looked beautiful! She was a very good Tinkerbell sprinkling pixie dust on all of us.

We decided to fit in a couple of Buzz Lightyear rides before supper. Got them in just in time to head over to The Crystal Palace. While we were waiting outside to be seated we got to see "our" Prince Charming perform on the castle steps in Cinderella's Surprise Celebration. The food at the Crystal Palace was very good. I was disappointed in the character interaction at first. We were getting ready to leave and we had only seen Pooh. Out of no where appears Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore. Kim was saying maybe we were there in between shifts or something. I am not sure what happened but we definitely got lots of wonderful interaction. The characters were great! They were very attentive. We especially appreciated the way they squatted down next to the girls in their wheelchairs so that they could really see them could. They were very good about touching the girls and letting them touch them. Wonderful just wonderful! A CM in a suit came up to give Mary Elizabeth and Michala a Magical Moment certificate. I wanted his picture with the girls but he said on no he doesn't do pictures. Finally he agreed. I like having pictures with the CM for the girls scrapbooks especially the ones that are so nice and more magic to our trips.

We wanted to make sure we got our picture taken before the crowds go to bad. We went over to the Hall of Presidents to have it taken. The line wasn't very long and went very fast. Our picture turned out really good I thought. It is quite comical because Erika and I are bending down in the back while everyone else is standing. My scanner doesn't work so if I can get Kim to scan it I will send it out to everyone. Oh and maybe she will do that with Chef Mickey too. We will check to see if Kim is reading the trip reports. LOL!!!

Grace had decided she wanted to ride The Haunted Mansion. We aim to please so off we went. I have to tell you I was a little spooked about riding The Haunted Mansion on the night of the party even though everyone said it was nothing different from the regular ride. We had just trick or treated near there and the CM giving out candy were very spooky. I would rather ride it in the day time. It turned out fine though.

We hit a couple of trick or treat lines before heading through Fantasyland. I always say no regrets but I do regret not riding all the rides through here. My commando type attitude got me in trouble this time. I kept thinking during the whole party do things you can't normally do like see characters that are usually not out. Well we were heading towards Toontown and we saw Cinderella's carriage. I was really hoping to get the girls picture in front of the carriage. The line was so long so we just went passed it. As we turned the corner we saw Merlin. He came up and spoke to Mary Elizabeth. We got a group picture with him and then heard him tell his story. I think Keith really enjoyed this. While they were listening to Merlin I stepped over and got in line for Cinderella. The wait wasn't to long but because my camera doesn't take pictures well at night the pictures didn't turn out as well as I hoped they would. By this time Michala was doubled over in her wheelchair asleep anyway. Marlee Anne didn't want Cinderella to hold her so Mike had to be in the picture and hold. I did get a picture of Mary Elizabeth and Michala with Cinderella. We were hoping "our" Prince Charming would be able to meet us for the picture. Well he would have been able to if I would have checked my email before we went or called him when we got there like I was supposed to. Oh well!

As we were heading to Toontown we saw Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. They were about to go inside in about 5 minutes so the CM brought us up to have the girls pictures made with them. It was so wonderful to see all the dwarfs together with Snow White. Marlee Anne sat in Snow White's lap. Mary Elizabeth was beside Doc and she loved him. He didn't even look at the camera I don't think because he was to busy playing with Mary Elizabeth and making her laugh. It was beautiful!

Once we got to Toontown I thought we had made a terrible mistake. It was packed and very hard to move around. I really wanted the girls to see Rolie Polie Olie and Zoe since they are some of their favorite characters. We went trick or treating through Minnie's house. We were hoping to get a picture with Minnie and Mickey but the lines were very long. The CMs don't allow us to wait in the lines if they see Mary Elizabeth & Michala but it's hard to break in front of the line when people have been waiting. We sometimes get rude comments from people when we do that too. Even though we would trade places with them in a heartbeat for our daughters to be able to walk and talk. So we just passed by those lines and went to see Zoe. Rolie Polie wasn't there then. I was hoping Michala would wake up so she could see Zoe but no such luck! Zoe was very sweet and put her finger to her mouth as if to say shuuuu. Too cute! Mary Elizabeth really liked Zoe. Erika had to hold Marlee Anne because she wasn't to sure about her. Grace had her picture made with Zoe by herself and it's a wonderful picture. Very special!

The crowds were getting to be a little to much for this tour guide. AND I want to go back at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Have I lost my mind? LOL!!! We headed over to the Crystal Palace to see the fireworks. It ended up being a wonderful spot. Thanks to everyone that suggested it! We loved the fireworks that went off around the perimeter of the park. Very beautiful!

Next we walked through Fantasyland to trick or treat some before seeing the parade. Mike and Mary Elizabeth did a wonderful job leading the pack and hitting the stops. The lines were long but went very fast. It was sad to see how many parents broke in line with their children. Instead of going to the back of the line they would go right up to where the CM was giving out the candy. It was not a big deal at all and didn't take away from our great time.

We got over to the Liberty Bell and got good seats for the parade. We ended up sitting beside a very nice family. We enjoyed talking with them until the parade started. The parade was wonderful! A must see! Lots of character interaction that I wasn't expecting to see. It was so much fun to see the characters dressed up in different costumes for Halloween.

We went to The Time Keeper. Since it is never open we decided to see it. It was good but if I had known it was going to be our last thing of the night I would have chosen something different. When we got done with that everyone was ready to head out. I wanted to stop by Expo Hall and pick up the party pins. When we got to Expo Hall Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger and Mickey and Minnie were out taking pictures. My other regret! Not stopping for pictures. Erika even said look there is not a long line for Mickey and Minnie. We should have asked everyone to wait but Mike was almost out of the gates with Mary Elizabeth. Mike said well that's another reason to go back. He said let's by tickets for Thursday night tomorrow morning. I was so excited to be able to go back and see it all again.

We had to say our good-byes since Kim and the gang would be leaving the next morning. That was really hard to say good-bye to them because we always go at the same time and leave at the same time. We were all tired and slept very good that night. Another perfect day!

I too love these magical moments ......even just for a moment.....thanks so much for your great report........would love to see the photos of the girls with some of the charactors
