Magical time in the Med Aug 2015 Updated 7/12

What a lovely day in Rome. We were there over Christmas and somehow I missed seeing the Trevi fountain (because I can get lost in a circle, I suppose ).

Following along! We are on the Magic again this August, this time doing the 7 night Med cruise. We love the Magic, and are really excited for the Frozen at Sea day - but I do have a 7 year old DD frozen fanatic! We also love the short flight from Luton airport to BCN on good old EasyJet!!

It was a great day. Thankfully the map we were given was pretty easy to follow, so we got there in the end

Villefranche:

Today we got up nice and early see us arrive into the beautiful port of Villefranche. It’s such a beautiful port. This was the one port that we were using tenders. If you don’t have a port adventure booked (like us), then you had to go to the Buena Vista Theatre to get a tender ticket, and they take you in your group number. As we were in no hurry to get off the ship, we waited until the rush was over, and then people were free to get on the tender as they pleased.





Again, our plan was to “walk around”, which was pretty much our theme for our entire trip, but we loved it. The town is mostly on hills, or have some steps, so maybe take note if you're bringing strollers.





















This was our view from our stateroom. You can see the tender pulled up along side.


Tonight was Pirate Night, and unfortunately this was the night my phone decided to die, so I'm afraid I don't have too many photos. But after dinner, I did manage to take these photos of how calm the sea was from our stateroom.




There was no show tonight, instead we had the premier of 'Inside Out' in the Walt Disney Theatre, which was amazing. Those 3D glasses are something else, and the movie was beautiful.






After the movie, it was time for the Pirate party and the fireworks, which of course, I've no photos of, but they were great, and to top it off the pirate buffet was even better. I love those turkey legs and baked potatoes!!!!!!

Thanks for the trip report. I am really enjoying reading your posts and seeing your pictures. I am taking my boys on the 10 night med next July and I am really enjoying reading how your trip was. Glad to hear there are fireworks with the Pirate Party. I was concerned they were limited to the caribbean sailings. Looking forward to reading more.

I haven't read everything yet, but following too! Contemplating a summer 2017 Mediterranean cruise, with our 2DDs, who will be almost 6 and ... a toddler. Are we crazy for trying to take this trip with a toddler? It will be our first Disney Cruise.

My family and i are going on our first 7night Med cruise from Barcelona next sept!!! I cant wait!!! This will be our first one not leaving out of Port Canaveral so it will be an adventure for sure!!
