Oct 6th is Nico's birthday!! Such a great day

Good day indeed!

It was extremely popular. I'm sure they will bring it back again at some point.

I liked going with DCL because we got to see four different islands. Plus it was onboard DCL.

And all those wonderful sea days!

I was booked on the TA eastbound with my youngest Samantha. There were 5-6 solo traveling moms with 9yo (just like me) and it was hard to switch cruises.

So glad I found you all!! It's made the switch easier

I swam with the turtles in Barbados. It was the most awesome thing that I have ever done. Of course, I'm a turtle lover and collector.

How great for you and Nico to be able to swim with dolphins and turtles on the same cruise.

Awesome!! It's cool that you were able to swim with the animals you love Samantha (8) and I did the sea lion in Atlantis and if you have younger kids (kids not old enough to do the dolphin swim, I would do the sea lions. Much more interaction that the dolphin encounter.

We did dolphins in Cozumel and had TONS of interaction...although we did the Royal swim not encounter so that is probably the difference.

If you check out the web page there is info under Barbados for swimming with turtles. My kids have asked about that when first saw it months ago. We may do this ....for all 4 of us it would be like $250 or something. We will see what Disney comes out with for it. We have a van for St Lucia and then if I do this in Barbados, not sure if I will do more excursions....I need to make a port day a relaxing day..... I like 2-3 sea days and this is a bit port intensive for me! It makes the days fly and I am not a fan of my cruise flying by!

Hey everyone! We just got back from ten wonderful adventure filled days in Hawaii, mostly spent at Aulani. We planned for it to be half there and half at a rental house but things didn't go great so we left the rental house and went back to Aulani. We did a villa first then standard room the second time.

JESS!!!! OMG--- I have only read a day and I can't wait to check out more....ok so I didn't go in order but the day Piper went to her spa treatment....my DD's would love that! I loved what they did with her hair--would be gorgeous for semi/formal night. Almost like a partial waterfall braid...did you take notes so you can teach me??? I so want to go there one day. But if I went there I couldn't cruise every year BTW you guys are up for sharing the van with Robin and my families right?? I reserved it so we are set!!!

If people would post suggestions, I will make a form to vote and then the winner becomes our name!!!! I know alot of you are thieves or honorary thieves but we need to call our group something so THIS group can form those wonderful bonds the thieves have!!

She looked so cute right? her hair is so short they didn't have a lot they could do but it turned out great. They did the braid first then the curls then pinned it all back with the flowers.

We were glad we took a year off to go instead of cruise. Our last cruise was April 2012 and in that time we did Disneyland twice (and going again in 8 Weeks for 6 days) and Hawaii. It was a nice change of pave and honestly we kept comparing Aulani to DCL. The navigators you get, all the activities, the free kids cubs with similar programming to DCL, the spa, etc. Dining was the biggest difference in DCL's favor. We are going back in Feb and staying in a villa the whole time so we will cook more (which oddly I thought was fun to do on vacation). It was really pricey to eat there, though another counter service option is being built currently. The water features far exceeded anything on DCL (obviously). And I think the day trips you could take from Aulani are similar to port adventures (you can do history based ones, different beaches, rainforest hikes, see waterfalls, etc and nothing more then 45 min away). We were blown away.

Southern makes me think of Song of the South but I am terrible at coming up with names... Song of the Southern Magic? the Merry Singers of Southern Sights? Pirates of the Southern Caribbean? Sassy Southern Singing Studs? St Lucia or Bust? Sailing Around the Hurricanes? Southern Sunshine Stragglers? Magic Strikes South? Ooof, terrible, haha! But maybe that inspires someone?

I thought about southern charm as well (but I don't think I am all that charming) then I thought about the north invading the south or a play on that, but I was worried people might take offense.

I went for the first time with DCL last year. Everything good that I have always heard about Hawaii just didn't do it any justice. It was so much better than I dreamed it to be. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We passed right by Aulani on our way to the Paradise Cove luau. It was magnificent. But my favorite island was Kauai.

Wow you guys have been chatty. I stopped getting notified of new posts. I have been working on fe gifts and I am really pleased how they are turning out. At this rate I will have everything done 1 year out ! Time to catch up.

Hi All.....we're back from house hunting near the mouse and I'm happy to say we found something good. We sign the lease on the 30th. We're keeping our home in the Poconos and renting in Florida. We're about 15 minutes away from the mouse. I'm so happy and relieved that we got our home. I can't wait to move now.

Thanks for sharing. I peeked at your blog on the fb page. I was also on the first cruise to Hawaii. I hope DCL will decide to go back, I feel like I only got a taste of the Islands and wan't to see more of them.

We are going to join this amazing group of people. It's just Nico and myself on this cruise. We have never been to any of these countries and looking forward to exploring and learning about these fascinating places.

Hopefully, we will be swimming with the sea turtles and then hopefully dolphins.

I think we want to do the St Lucia tour. So the next group of people that want to do it let me know. There are only 2 of us, so we can fit into any size group.

I am pretty sure you won't have a problem getting signed up on this tour. We decided to go in groups in vans instead of a bus because of the narrow roads. There are people interested they just don't want to book this far out. We still have plenty of time.
