Hi all :)

In a very cheery mood today (no idea why had the worst day EVER yesterday lol anyway new day and all....) and it got me thinking. I have been reading a few other threads about tipping etc and I just remembered a little thing that happened to me back on my first and only trip to the world in 2008 so I thought I would share :cutie:

Before I left I made up little envelopes A5ish size(got the idea online of course prob from these very boards lol) and inside I personalised them being Irish I of course went to town on the green white and orange and added little things like an Irish flag pin, and other little bits and bobs that scream Ireland lol and finished it with a postcard saying something along the lines of thank you for making our stay that little bit more magical. I made a few and took them with me in case of meeting a very helpful cast member as a little extra thank you.

Well at the time some sort of football was on, I want to say world cup but im not sure, by bf at the time was half italian and he wanted to see the Italy game which was no easy task, we popped to ESPN on the boardwalk and a fabulous cast member got us seated and put the game on for us(considering we had no previous reservations) I was over the moon, after she took our order I nervously gave her an envelope as I wasnt sure how she would react.
about 5 mins later she came back to our table, almost in tears with happiness turns out she had close Irish roots started to explain her family tree and she gave me a pixie dust pin...........SOOOOOO CUTE! Such a nice moment.

After that long story lol sorry for going on a bit I was just reminiscing......does anyone else have any magical moments to share, ones that they will never forget however small they were??? Just to cheer up a monday morning :cloud9:

The one and only magical moment I have ever had was a pretty grand gesture on Disney's part. There were tears (and lots of them) involved.

I finished my Cultural Rep Programme in EPCOT after extending for a month which meant I had 1 day to pack up a year of memories and move to a hotel then one day of hanging about to catch my 9pm flight (if you don't extend you can have the month to travel). My friends and I decided to book into ASMovies the night before our flight and just chill by the pool on the final day.

At check-in we got chatting to the lovely CM and explained how we had been working at EPCOT and had handed in our ID that morning which made us even more sad to be leaving as it really brought us back to reality with a bump. He smiled and agreed that it must be the worst day and went to retrieve our room keys etc...and returned with a free one day park hopper pass loaded on to each of our keys, he just smiled and said "nobody should have to have their last day in Disney out of the parks"...having been on the verge of tears all day that just tipped me over the edge!

Awwwwww thats a pretty magical moment all right!!!! you must have been so sad leaving! Some major pixe dust going on in that story :wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

On our first trip staying onsite in 2009 DD was nearly 4.

We were off to DHS and DD wanted to wear her minnie dress. I wanted her to wear a t shirt (can't remember why?) but she was determined and off we set.

As we entered DHS 9.30 am it was quietish and we had some photos with a photopass photographer and got talking to a young cm. She was oohing and arrghing of DD in her minnie dress (+ matching socks/hairclips)

She told us where minnie would be meeting guests at 10am so we went over and stood to wait for minnie. I went to get a drink when DH, DD and the cm came over.

The cm had phoned her manager and arranged for DD to have a private meeting with all the characters . There was a photopass photographer and they all signed DD's book. An amazing time!

We did stop at guest services and fill out an appreciation form afterwards for the cm.

Well its not Monday any more but i thought id carry it on as i enjoyed reading the other stories :goodvibes

Ours isnt a huge pixie dust moment but its one that had all my 3 boys in tears!

Dh and I went to do the laundry at AKL and after we had put all of the washing in the machine we decided to check on the boys at the pool who was with my mum.
After a while we went back to the laudry room and looked for our bag we brought the washing down in,well.......we looked EVERYWHERE and it wasnt anywhere to be found "I was pretty mad as it was one of our holdalls!! Not a great one but still anyways Dh did the mile long walk to get another bag and whilst in the room explained to my mum what had happened.

My youngest twin then comes out and says Daddy!!!! I put my Mickey light in that bag! The other 2 boys then turn around and say we put ours in it too! "ARGH if only we had known we would never have left the bag" so Dh comes back to the laundry room with 3 upset little boys and we go trott of to reception to see if it was handed in.

We explain what happened and let them know that 3 mickey lights was in the bag we get told that there was nothing handed in BUT that it had proberly been stolen as it actually happens more then you would think :scared1: people run out of room when packing and so take somebody elses bag!
The receptionist then speaks to the boys who told her that they was silly for putting it away without telling mummy & daddy and how its their fault (NOT THAT WE WOULD EVER SAY OR HAD EVER SAID IT WAS) the next minute the lady comes around and asks the boys where they are going that night they replied Epcot she tells them that when they get to Epcot that are to ask for Mummys room card and they are to charge 3 new lights to the card and that Mickey will pay for them when we get back to the hotel! they also was to pick out 3 new teddys each up to $20 and that Mickey would gift them with that aswell for being such lovely polite little boys, and for putting away their toys :wizard:

My oldest burst into tears and hugged the lady really tight while thanking her and then the Twins started to cry while thanking her too!

I was so grateful to that lady we put newbatts in those lights most months and those teddys they picked out have gone EVERYWHERE with them since it was Mickey who wanted them to have them! Disney really do give wonderful memories to familys my boys always talk about that day.

OMG that story actually brought tears to my eyes, talk about pixie dust pixiedust:

The only story I have is several years ago when we took my stepson with us we come out of Mickey's Philamagic straight into the exit store where the 3 boys and my DH started messing around with the cast member behind the counter and soon they had the whole shop in hysterical laughter. Anyways we bought a few Donald Duck items and had it all sent to Beach Club where we were staying.

About 10 days later and I was packing the suitcases to come home and emptying all the stuff that we'd bought out of the carrier bags to put into the cases when I came to the stuff that had come from the Philamagic store and what fell out along with the Donald Duck stuff ........ a very LARGE Goofy !!!!!

During the moments when the cast member at Philamagic was able to catch his breath and talk to me I must have mentioned that my favorite man was Goofy not Donald like the boys :confused3 Anyways Goofy now has a permanent home on my and DH's bed and it reminds me of that wonderful 30 minutes we had in the Mickey's Philamagic exit store laughing and joking with that fantastic cast member.

Thought i'd share another pixie dust moment.

Whilst eating at Crystal Palace in January, my then 2 year old DD was sitting on a booster seat at the table. She craned her neck so far round to see piglet approaching the booster tipped off the chair. I have no idea why they dont have straps to attach them :confused3

She landed smack bang on her face:scared1:

The CM who was serving us saw her fall and came running over to make sure she was ok, she called the manager over who not only got piglet to come to our table right away - he had missed our table in the fiasco. On leaving we were given a gift note for 2 Pooh bear's. One for each of my DD's.

Both girls loved the new toy and my eldest (who fell) states "it was worth falling off the chair for"

That day the pixie dust was being handed out by pooh instead of mickey :thumbsup2

Lovely magical moments everyone!

The only thing that's happened to us was in MK when I was in line with my little sister to meet Daisy. A CM noticed my sister was wearing her lanyard and asked if my sister liked any of the pins she had. My sister liked a Princess Aurora pin so the CM said she would trade her for it. My sister said she liked all her pins and didn't want to trade any of them. The CM said 'it's ok, you can have this one anyway, it's new and not on sale yet' :goodvibes My sister was over the moon with her new pin.

the best pixie dust moment for us was when after two whole long never ending weeks my MIL and SIL went home and we got to stay for another blissful pixie dust filled week:rotfl:

when our eldest DS was around 8, we eat at CRT,Afterwards he sat with the fairy godmother for photos, she whispered something in his ear. Then we went on our way.
About an hour later we were about to go on a ride.he held out his hand which was closed. And he said
" can you look after this Pixie dust the fairy godmother gave me,i want to keep it,she said it will give me luck"
He had been carrying it around all that time, with out saying a word.
We have kept it along with all his things in the loft ie baby things. Now 23 a degree and a good job.so it might have worked

That's lovely.:goodvibes

My friends and I were having Easter Day breakfast at the Crystal Palace one year when Tigger came over. My friend had her camera out to take a picture and Tigger, being the excitable character that he is, knocked her camera right out of her hand onto the floor. Needless to say it broke! Poor Tigger realised he had made a boo-boo and looked devastated. He kept shaking his head and covering his eyes!

The server called over her manager who apologised, checked the camera and saw that it was broken. She told us to carry on with our breakfast and she would be back. At the end of the meal, she did indeed return with a disposable camera for each of us, some fastpasses to use that day as it took so long to sort out. She also gave my friend a phone number to call for guest services to report the broken camera, she said they'd pay for fixing it and then, as if that wasn't enough, they arranged for Tigger to have a picture taken with us before we left and they gave it to us as a free PhotoPass picture!

Now that's magic!!!

When we last went in 2008, there was some celebration , but anyway when we were in the pre show for dinosaur, at the end they handed out a fast pass for all the rides in the park for that day to us.

Best moment ever though, is on the same trip, I said it was my wifes birthday, which it was and we got to ride on the monorail at the front on the wrap around couch and window and watch the guy drive it etc. , best piece of video ever, and the wife is a train nut too.

Brilliant absolutely brilliant !
