Hi again everyone,

Ok, I should have done a real TR since this is my third post about the food on our recent trip! Two toddlers keep from doing one (I know, poor excuse :rotfl2: )...But I wanted to share our Magical Moment at the Turf Club.

First, let me say that the Turf Club was excellent all around. Great service (thank you Jasmine, you really are a princess!), high quality food, and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

It was myself, DH, DD3.5, DD1.5, and my "little" brother (32) for dinner at 6:30. Appetizers were calamari and onion rings - both good with nice dipping sauces. Kids' meals were one chicken breast nuggets, and one pizza. Both came with drinks and sides (fries with the chicken, apple slices w/brown sugar with the pizza). The kids enjoyed thier meals. And DD3.5 had a sundae at the end of her meal; the pizza meal didn't come with one.

DH had the strip steak, DB had the lamb, I had the pasta w/veggies and chicken. We were all pleased and stuffed at our meals' end. DH had an agave margarita, DB had...? jack and coke, I think. I had a sprite (too much at Citricos the night before  ).

As the meal was winding down, the waitresses came over and asked if the girls wanted to be in a horse race. They gathered all the children in the restaurant (7-8), took them to the front entrance, gave them each a toy riding horse (you know, the head on a stick) and they raced into the restaurant and back to the front! So cute! They were not rowdy, didn't seem to bother any of the other patrons (everyone stopped to watch the two minute race), and they all loved it. At the end each child was given a small toy horse and a certificate with their name on it and a description of their Magical Moment.

On the outside, the Turf Club looks like a gentlemen's club, but it is not at all stuffy or stiff as you might imagine. It was a wonderful meal in a casual atmosphere. Even with several familes dining, it was quiet and relaxed. Thanks again to the excellent staff!

I am so glad you enjoyed Turf Club! Its one of our very most favorite places in all of WDW to dine. When I eat there, it reminds me of the old days at WDW, when you really felt like your meal was something out of the ordinary. Thanks for posting!

Thanks for the review. It had been suggested that we try this place by another Diser, and your review was icing on the cake. We'll try it in September.

Thanks for your review! :thumbsup2 Haven't heard much about the Turf Club.:confused3 We'll be trying it out in March!:yay:

I was so happy to read your review! We are hoping to eat there in May! Thanks again!

Oh, me too, me too, a BIG thank you!! I have been at my wits end trying to nail down an ADR for our night in DTD. I originally had Ragland RD but heard MANY bad things and read MANY bad reviews, ALL recent ones... so I scrapped that one. I've been to Planet Hollywood before, TOO loud and the food is so-so...so I asked on another thread, what to do? Someone suggested (THANKS ROB) The Turf Club! I've read some GREAT things and LOVED the pics of it!! Thanks!! :thumbsup2
