I finally had a magical moment!!!!!

We got to be the Family of the Day at Epcot and it was an amazing experience. A few of the things we received....We got to take a picture with all the characters, ride on the Test Track car that took us over to the ride, rode Test Track twice, got a free photo and met the most wonderful castmembers in the world, Lynda. She's a Diser so Lynda if you're out there, we love you!! Thank you for making our day at Epcot so magical!!

I love hearing the details... where were you when you got picked, do you have young kids, Do you think you did anything special that made you stand out in the crowd?

glad you had a great time!:thumbsup2

We actually got to the gates at Epcot at 8am (an hour before opening) When they let us in we were the first ones in and my a dash to the rope (no we didn't run we just walk fast). As soon as we got there (there was a group of about 50 people already there that I"m assuming had some sort of tour or dinning reservation made) we were approached by a Cast Member. We had one child with us, my 9 year old niece, and then myself, my husband and niece's mommy.

I don't know why they chose us but I'm so glad they did!! It's a moment that I will never ever forget.

congratulations:cheer2:

Aww.. Congrats! That's a memory you'll have for a lifetime!

This has nothing to do with year of a million dreams, but has to do with Epcot and one extra special CM.

We went in 2005 and my youngest daughter was aged 6. We'd seen a hand drawn sketch of Jack Skellington in the art shop close to Spaceship Earth, which hubbie had taken a fancy to. Whilst he was waiting for it to be packaged and paid we looked round the shop. One of the CM's started talking to my daughter and asking questions, which she duly replied to. At the end he said he had a pressie for her and gave her a lanyard with about 8 pins on for her to start pin trading. She was so excited and spent the rest of the holiday pin trading!

We will always remember this extra special touch to our holiday!
