I'm so close to booking WL at least for part of the trip. However I wanted it the last half and like you said there is nothing available that time. Boo

Maybe if you save you could squeeze in a small trip next year..........say in June!

I love WL and so does Tom so that would not be a huge sacrifice on the budget. Did you know there is a general public code for free dining? i read about it on the code and rates board. That might get you to CBR so you can try out the new pool 
.Since we are booking DVC we have to wait until 11 months. So we'll be booking right after the 1st of the year! It seems sooooooooooo far away!
At this point I would say SAVE. I know, not what you wanted to hear! But you did say that you might not go back this next year and if the few hundred $$ you could save this year could help you go back next year than I would do that. Also, you have everything planned for CBR and the kids have to be getting exctied about that resort and you did say you aren't in LOVE with AKL.

. You know we will want to go next year. Even a year is a long time but can't imagine waiting a whole 18 months to 2 years to go back. So I might just stay put. As far as the kids they would love to stay at WL, AKL, BC, and of course Poly is their favorite. they also love Pop. They just want to go to Disney . As I'm typing this Thomas is saying we are going to CBR!!Hey Nichole! As you know we had a standard view at AKL and it was fine, it was of the front entrance but still fine. I think for you guys, especially since Tom isn't a big AKL fan, I would wait to stay there until you can do a savannah or pool view! Just my 2 cents! I actually think that CBR sounds great and the pictures of the new pool area look awesome!! So my vote is for SAVE!
so there goes my WL upgrade money. Though if I can get a standard there with the same discount then it would be $600 more. So that would be worth it. But I'm leaning towards staying put. I do like the idea of queen beds at CSR though

I vote for staying put Nichole! Seems like the kids are excited about it, and like you said, Tom isn't much interested in switching and you aren't in LOVE with the idea of AKL without the savannah view. Getting to go back to Disney sooner (perhaps) would be more important to me! (of course you are talking to the girl who affords to go because she stays offsite, so maybe not the best person to give you the advice, but I know if I didn't stay offsite, I wouldn't be going back this year).

. I just don't want to get there and go "darn I wish I stayed at that other resort instead of this one". KWIM. I was 50/50 on CSR vs CBR. Booking the preferred room pushed me to book CBR.
I even thought about switching moderate resorts
Then I told dh about it and he said "but I still dont want to eat at a TS every day even if its free!" He hates spending that much time with unruly Jake in a restaurant. Personally I dont blame him. I like the new dining they are coming out with next year 2 CS credits per day. That would be nice.

Hey Nichole - just checking in. Have you changed resorts yet? I too think you should try CBR - then you can say you tried it and can have your own opinion of the resort. Since you were able to book a preferred room I think you will be fine - can't wait to hear all about the new pool! And, if saving $$ now may get you back next year, even better!
and was mad because I didn't try CSR. Kaylee really thinks the new pool at CBR looks great. I think I need my head examined, LOL. I have been checking everyday to see if a standard becomes avaialble at WL. Not that they released Free dining for october - December it might not become available with my pincode. So I'm staying put for now but will keep you posted.
I subscribed to your thread yesterday! I say stay with CBR, I stayed there 5 times with my family from 3rd grade to 12th grade and I loved it. Granted I'm older now but all the new upgrades look amazing. I love the atmosphere, privates pools and beaches/playgrounds/hammocks per building and the property itself. Make sure you don't get back in Trinidad, if I can remember, it's all the way in the back and a very very long walk to the food court. We really liked Martinique and Aruba. Hope you stick with it!

2 weeks from today you will be at WDW
. AKL does have standard rooms for $550 more than we are paying. Not that $550 is alot but we could use it for other things. 
Thinking about it still, if it were WL available then I probably would have snatched it up at that price. Not sure about AKL in a standard, not sure if it's $550 better than CBR. AKL is far from everything IMO. I love the theme and the restaurants are good. I'll have to keep checking for WL to open up. It's a shame because I booked a woodsview right when I first booked the trip.
I can't wait!!! Seems to be dragging now. Good thing I have tons of obligations at the kids schools the next 2 weeks. Kaylee has a walk a thon fundraiser and Thomas's preschool is doing a Trike A Thon for ST. Jude. So plenty to keep me busy until we leave. the weather is so nice so I can't pack much yet but plan to pack next weekend for sure.
