Hello and Welcome to my trip report. This will be my 8th trip to the Disney. Hoping this year will be the most magical yet! We are very excited for our trip that starts in just 32 days!! If you would like to know more about my family then you can click the link to our previous trips in my signature. If not I will tell you a bit about each of us and our upcoming trip plans.

First I will start with me Nichole :tink:35 (can't believe I wrote that) Tink is my favorite Disney character of all time. I took my first trip with my family when I was 6 and have been in love with Disney ever since. I'm a SAHM mom mostly but I do volunteer at the kids schools sometimes. When I'm not running my kids to school and DD to dance then I spend wayyy too much time on DIS. I love reading other families trip reports and planning trips too. I'm addicted to Disney!! I'm really looking forward to this vacation because I need and escape from everday life and really need my Disney fix about now. I'm one of "those" who gets teary eyed watching my kids have the time of their life at Disney.

DH, Tommy 34 :donald: he is most like Grumpy but I couldn't find a grumpy smilie so Donald duck is the next best thing. His first trip was in 2002 when DD was 2. This will be his 6th trip to Disney. He never went to Disney when he was a kid. Tommy is a great daddy to DD and DS. He works hard at his job and is actually looking forward to this trip I think after having a not so good summer trip nack to NJ where were from. It was just way too much running around visting and just not very fun. He hates the planning and me talking about Disney so much and really wants no part in the plans. Don't get me wrong he is happy when we get there and loves getting to spend time with the kids all week.. Looks like he is having at Disney in this all the pictures.

DisneyMarch2008084-1.jpg

DD8 Kaylee :tink: is sassy and petite just like Tink. She is a straight A student so far. She loves dance with a passion and has been dancing since she was 2.5. She takes ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern. She wants to be on Broadway when she grows up. But I can completely see her being a teacher or dance teacher. She loves the Jonas Brothers and has a huge crush on Joe, also loves HSM and webkinz. Hannah Montana luckily has died down a bit here. She is a wonderful big sister. She is a little spoiled from staying deluxe and is a little sad about not staying at Poly this trip. I told her to feel lucky she gets to go to Disney because some families can't go at all. This is her 6th trip as well.

DS4, Thomas ::MickeyMo I had to pick Mickey for him because he loves him the most but he loves all the characters except princesses :sad2: . I think he is my Disney loving child. He started preschool this month and is doing great. He is very shy with new people and situations. Thomas is usually a very good boy but he has his moments when he turns into :stitch2: . I guess because he is 4 :) . This will be his 4th trip to the WDW.

Plans are as follows....
When: October 4-12 for 8 nights, Grand Gathering with friends from NJ!!!

Where : We are staying at Caribbean beach Resort this trip, first time at a moderate resort. I'm looking forward to trying a new resort though I will miss Poly and the monorail. We have switched resorts so many time I'm just glad we are settled on a resort. We were supposed to stay at Beach Club since our friends are staying at BCV as they own DVC. Also more friends of theirs are staying at BWV. So we will have 16 people in our Grand Gathering.

Grand Gathering events include: Safari celebration dinner, Magical GG Wishes Cruise and we are also attending MNSSHP and Typhoon Lagoon and a couple meals together. All the kids will be so happy to see each again after spending time together in July. Of course we will have plenty of time just the 4 of us too, which is good because DH can't take any vacations until next summer. Here is a picture of Thomas and Kaylee with my friends kids. Not sure if I should post their names or not. I will check with DF on that. But she has a DS6, DD8 who is one of Kaylee's best friends, and a adorable DS2.

Inlcuded in Pretrip: Dining reservations, Shopping for Disney, My planner and Itinerary Mickey Countdown calendar as well as some past magical moments from our previous trips..

Yay! PTR
Thanks so much for letting me know!

I'm going to go read your first post now...I'm so excited about your trip ~ only 1 month!!!

Okay! Sounds like a wonderful trip! How much fun to be with all your friends and family! I can't wait to hear about all your magical gathering activities :)

You will like CB, it's nice. Haven't stayed there personally, but we have stayed at CS and POR, and we liked them both. They're all good ;)

Can't wait to read more!

Found you! Yay! So glad you've started your PTR!

I'm glad to hear Thomas is doing well at preschool - I know you were a little worried about that. :goodvibes

So, you decided on CBR? I'm glad you made a decision - are you sure you aren't changing again? :rotfl: I can't wait to hear about your experience there - I've read a lot of good reports lately of the resort. We only stayed once and it was only for a weekend - the weather was horrible and Samantha was really sick. So, I think we need to give it another shot! I've heard more than one person say it is like a "lesser" Poly - so I'm sure you guys will love it!

What is the Safari celebration dinner? Sounds fun! And the Wishes cruise will be great too! How fun to be going with other families but also have your family alone time too.

Looking forward to more!

By the way, we spent a long weekend in your homestate of NJ this summer too - what a great time we had!

Hi earthfaries,
I agree it should be a fun trip. I'm sure we will like CBR since we like tropical themes the best. I will post my ADR's later today.

Hi Michelle,

By the way, we spent a long weekend in your homestate of NJ this summer too - what a great time we had!

Hi Michelle,
Glad you made it over. Sounds like you had a fun summer! When were you in NJ? Yes I think  we are staying with CBR. I booked a preferred room so we will be close the foodcourt and main pool. Also we are driving so we don't have to take buses if they end up being a problem. Hoping it is like a lesser Poly.

Thomas is doing alright at school, well except he is having some potty issues. LIke he doesn't want to use it at school and holds it in all day. Having some accidents at home too. I'm trying not to worry too much about it though.

We are looking forward to spending some time with our friends at Disney. I'm glad though that other friends of their's are also going because that way we do our own thing some too, KWIM? It would probably be easier traveling with another Disser because my friend is not really a rope drop girl and her DH hates the parks. They stay for 10 nights twice a year and spend lots of downtime on their trips. I guess I would too if I stayed that long. The Safari Celebration is a grand gathering event. They take you on a Safari ride with a guide then you have a special dinner at Tusker House and they have characters and the CM's bring out some exotic animals. Also I think they have live music. It sounds really fun. I will post you a link to the menu and some info. Tommy wasn't thrilled about the menu but there is plenty of stuff on there for everyone. Kaylee is so happy to be seeing Taylor again this soon. So how are your plans coming along? Are you staying at Pop in October? Send me a link to your trippie if you start one.

:cool1: :cool1: I found you! (Well, it wasn't that hard, LOL)...The pictures in your first post are adorable! Thomas is just as cute as a button, and Kaylee is really growing up - she is beautiful!

The GG events sound fantastic and I'm looking forward to hearing about your park days and ADRs so I can see if there are any times that overlap with ours - it would be great to be able to meet! (Michelle? Hear that? You need to back your trip up a couple of days so you can meet me AND Nichole! :rotfl: ) :rolleyes1

Looking forward to hearing more... popcorn::

Hi Michelle,
Glad you made it over. Sounds like you had a fun summer! When were you in NJ?

We were there August 7-11. We spent time in North Haledon, Ocean Grove and an afternoon at Point Pleasant Beach. We love it in NJ - not sure why it gets such a bad rap all the time. :confused3

(Michelle? Hear that? You need to back your trip up a couple of days so you can meet me AND Nichole! :rotfl: )

Funny - I was thinking that when I read you two may meet. Hmmm - I could just drive up for the day. Wheels are turnin........

Hi Sara,
Thanks so much for all the nice compliments on the kids. Kaylee doesn't look like a little girl anymore :sad2: now that she has her big teeth. they grow up too quick. I definately hope to meet up with you. Yes it would be great if Michelle's trip was the same week but our DD's have different fall breaks. I wish I could have done the mom's get away with you all but it's not in the budget to do more than 1 getaway this year. At least I'm getting a mom's night out tonight with the girls, cause I need it. Thomas had 4 potty accidents today,:confused3 talk about regressing. So glad you came over to my report. Let me know if decide your going to write one. I know how hard it is to find time though.

I love Pt. Pleasant!! That is were we spent all our days on the beach when we lived there. We did get there one day but it was kind of rainy that day of course. I also Spring Lake and Cape May which is where Tom and I like to get away from the kids :) .I guess it's north jersey that gets the bad rap. Not everyone appreciates how blunt people from NJ can be ;) . We went in July because kaylee started school the second week of August. Anyway that would be awesone if you drove up!! We have no set plans on Saturday before we leave. Well just CRT at 8AM and then whatever park the rest of the day & evening. I would happily cancel our dinner ADR to meet up with you both instead Too bad Sara and I aren't going to MNSSHP the same night, I tried to talk her into Thursday since I had already bought our tickets. But Friday I think is supposed to be the better night. I will try to post ADR's and plans tonight or tomorrow latest.

One of the trip reports I was reading was by a Disboutiquer. She made her kids the cutest clothes. So I asked her to make she could make Kaylee a marie outfit sort of like her DD's. Marie is one of kaylee's favorites! She can't wait to wear it. Hoping maybe we will be able to find Marie in Epcot.

Itinerary Coming up next........

Your ADR's look great! We went to Sci-Fi for the first time last year and really enjoyed it - you should try it if you've never been! I love 50's Prime Time too though - so tough choice.

Love all your loot from the Disney Store - you got some great shirts! You'll have some nice family pictures! And the Marie outfit for Kaylee is adorable - I really hope she gets to meet her in Epcot!

There is a chance I could come up on the Saturday that both you and Sara will be there. I think that is Sara's daughters birthday that day though so it may not be a good day for her. You two just plan whatever works for you guys and if I can swing it I may pop over too! :goodvibes

I think your ADRs sound wonderful, lots of great, fun places:goodvibes

You got lots of nice Disney clothes for the kids, I love those pink Crocs :)

The Marie dress is SO cute! Nara loves Marie too :cutie:

Here is our list of dining reservations. There are 2 I'm not sure about so opinions would be great! We will be on the regular dining plan.

Safari grand gathering celebration Dinner @ AK
Chef Mickeys- dinner, followed by the GG Fireworks cruise
Sci-FI- Dinner (was thinking of switching to 50's PT but Sci Fi is new for us)
Tuttio Italia- dinner (Rose & Crown was available yesterday too???)
Coral Reef- dinner
1900 park fare- breakfast
Crystal Palace- dinner
Whispering Canyon cafe- dinner
Cinderella's Royal Table- breakfast
Cape May Cafe- breakfast with characters

I paid OOP for CRT when we first booked the trip.

These look great Nichole! I know Chef Mickey's is a fave for your group, so that will be fabulous! We loved Sci-Fi when we went in November - it was actually one of our faves - it's just so Disney to me! We will be there on the 12th. I think the Italian restaurant is supposed to be good, but I have never been there - how can you go wrong with Italian, right? :goodvibes Coral Reef is one of our favorites and we are eating there this trip as well - on the 9th for lunch. If the Crystal Palace dinner has the same sort of stuff as lunch, we loved it in November. It was my Mom's favorite food! You guys have been there, but was it for dinner? I can't remember from your last reports! :confused3 We are trying breakfast this time (on the 13th).

WCC - Fun, fun, fun! And oh so quiet! ;) CRT - classic and a must-do! Is this with both girls? Are they dressing up?

We are trying 1900 Park Fare this time but for dinner, not breakfast - I hear the breakfast is a hoot though! I've never been to Cape May, but I hear good things!

I think you have made some great choices for a wonderful and memorable trip! :thumbsup2 I don't know if what I said was helpful or not (probably the 2 you were questioning were the ones I have never been to - Cape May and Tutto Italia, LOL) If they are, sorry! Everything I just wrote will be of no use to you! :lmao:

Over the summer I shopped at Disney Store alot :rolleyes1 .]

I see some of the same shirts that I have secretly purchased over the last few weeks! Looks good! :goodvibes Great minds think alike! You guys always look so cute on vacation!

:cool1: That would be fun Michelle. I will keep you two posted. Right now our plan is to be at the MK for the girls' BBB appts, followed by an early dinner at 1900 PF for Katie's birthday, and then back to the MK for Spectro. I'm not sure where in there I could meet, but I am certainly now going to look it all over and figure it out - it would be fun to try and coordinate something! :goodvibes

Sounds good. I hope to least meet up with Sara & family for a quick hello and picture. Hopefully we are in the sam park one day though so maybe we can meet up for fireworks or a parade or something. I really want to go to Sci-Fi but kaylee and Tom seem like the ywant to go back to 50's Prime time. Have you ever been to Rose & crown? It seems it has mixed reviews.

Hi Sara,
Thanks. Kaylee loves her Marie outfit. Won't be much longer that I can get her to wear cute clothes like that :sad2: . Anyway I kind of my itinerary just haven't had to time to post it. I'm sure I could more something if needed. We do plan to be at MK that day too since it's our last day. Our plans so far are breakfast at CRT at 8:05AM and hope to be out by rope drop. We might take a break for a couple hours then come back at 5PM for dinner, we have Crystal Palace booked but we try the plaza or CS somewhere instead. What time do the girls have BBB? Kaylee is not going to BBB this trip. We are planning on watching Spectro too after dinner. Maybe we could meet up for that in a good TGM spot. It is such a pain getting a seat so early but usually we make DH stay while we get snacks, browse or hop on a nearby ride ;) . It's our last day so I will be more relaxed with our plans :rotfl2: .

As far as our ADR's. We have Coral reef on the 8th for dinner and Crystal palace we have been to for dinner before and we liked it alot!! Looks like I'm keeping Sci Fi.

The girls appts at the BB are at 1:50 in the castle. Since we have the party the night before, we are taking it easy that morning, and probably not arriving until noon or so ( not planning on riding a whole lot, LOL  -the TGMer in me can't even believe I am saying we will get there around noon! LOL!) We just plan on shopping, seeing characters, riding whatever "anytime" type attractions we can do, maybe get a FP for something for later on, and then heading to the BBB. Afterwards, get pics done and head to the GF around 4:00 or so for our 4:45 ADR at 1900 PF. So it sounds like we might be getting there as you are leaving for a break, and leaving as you are coming back! LOL! Maybe we can get a time in there, but if not I think the TGM spot for the parade might be a fun place to meet up! I'm figuring with our early dinner we should be back in the parks by 6:30 or 7:00 at the latest.

You will be at CR the night before us! Yay on the Sci-Fi! :yay: I don't think you will be disappointed. I found it to be very fun and thought the food was fine - I highly recommend the Space Invaders Margarita if you drink at all. It was huge and very tasty! Much better value for your $ than the same-price-but-much-smaller-glowtini! I wasn't terribly hungry when I went, so I had an appetizer and dessert (Spinach and Artichoke Dip and then the cheesecake) but Shawn had the Beef and Blue Salad and thought it was great! I think I have read that people get the burgers all the time even though they are not technically on the dinner menu and that they are very tasty!

Hmmmm - maybe I could meet you guys for the parade. Erik comes in that morning (I assume we are talking about the 11th) so maybe I can take a little road trip and give them some father/daughter bonding time. Something to think about for sure. :goodvibes

Nichole - I had the burger at Sci-Fi and it was very good! And I highly recommend the cheesecake (and I'm not usually a cheesecake fan). We reserved Sci-Fi again in October so I can take my parents there - such a fun atmosphere!

I was waiting for you to start a pre-trippie! You need to add the link to your signature! I've read your past TRs and think your family is the cutest!

Have fun counting down the days!

I'm going to try that Space invaders drink for sure, remembered it from your trip report.
 Well probably leave the park around 1PM and come back at 4:45 for our 5PM dinner. Then when we get done I planned to get a spot for spectromagic. I'm going to try and get there a bit before 7 but I can try to save you all a spot. Sometimes It's hard with parade crashers, they stress me out so bad :headache: .

That would be fun, think about it. I know it will hard with Erik coming home that morning. I could always cancel our ADR and meet up earlier for Counter service. I do have a ressie for the Plaza :tiptoe: too because Tom really likes it and I wasn't sure if we would feel like another heavy meal that day. Don't want to be flamed on the DIS so when we know we do always cancel the one we won't use. Anyway we will probably stick with burgers at Sci-FI because you can't go wrong with that.

Hi there! I'm going to add a link in my signature today. Thanks for the compliments on my family your very sweet :flower3: . Yes we are counting the days ::yes:: .

I'm trying to decide on our costumes for MNSSHP. Well Kaylee already has hers she is being Alice in Wonderland which I absolutely love. This year Disney Store online has and ladies Alice costume and it doesn't like some of those hoochie ones you see on most websites :scared1: . I ordered myself a Tink costume, it looked so cute in the picture and when I got it was just awful!! Looked like lingerie  . I had to pay a fortune to send it back. Here is a picture of it.

So then I though about being the Queen of hearts since kaylee is being Alice. here is the link to it, it's very poofy.

Then there is this one but it's so short and I'm scared after the tink Costume I sent back. Thinking of wearing a halloween Tshirt again at this point :headache: . http://costumecraze.com/CARD08.html?SSAID=141928

I love this Tink costume from DS but it's expensive. What do you think?

Thomas hasn't really decided if he wants to be captain Hook, a Pirate, a Knight or Wall E. he is leaning towards Wall-E but he also mentioned Bob the Builder :guilty: . I think that is a universal costume, LOL.

Tom doesn't want to dress up at all. He is just a party pooper to say the least. I might even just make us Mickey Mouse Club Tshirts for Tom and I and that will be our costume. But I really want to dress up, even if i will be a plaesantly plump Tinker Belle  .

One thing I know though is if there is any complaining of being tired and wanting to leave ,Fine. But I 'm staying at MK to at least 11PM and seeing the Parade and Hallowishes by myself if I have to :snooty: . I did plan on us resting the whole day that day so that our evening goes smoothly, hopefully it won't rain. Our plans are a late breakfast at 1900 park Fare (9am is a late breakfast for us). Followed by pool time lunch and naps until it's time to get ready for the party.

I should have my Itinerary up by this evening.
