Magical Family!

We just returned from the 4 night Wonder cruise. May 11-15.

After brief visits to this forum, I have never read of anyone being the "Magical Family" on a DCL cruise. Maybe it happens to many and I'm just nieve. But,

Here's what happened to us:

On Sunday (first day of the cruise) we returned to our room at 10:30pm to put our young children to bed. We were surprised to see a Winnie the Pooh and Goofy stuffed animals setting on the kids beds. The phone was flashing that we had a message to call the concierge desk. The concierge asked if she could come to our room ... okay?! She arrived, stating we had been chosen to be the Magical Family for this cruise and asked if we could follow her to our upgraded room. What a treat! But it didn't stop there. Every evening after dinner, we'd return to our room to find new suprises. Chocolate dipped strawberrys and truffles, cookies and milk, free bikes, floats, snorkeling rentals at Castaway Cay, free debit cards for the arcade. The last night of the cruise we enjoyed free drinks and appetizers at the Cadillac Bar. The last night we were presented with a certificate and pins.

The trip would have been just a fantastic without this treat- but what a neat thing to have happen.

Wow, what a treat!!! Just curious though, what room were in originally booked in and what room were you upgraded to???

Wow, how lucky were you!!!!!!!! That sounds awesome. We are leaving next Saturday and what a treat that would be. It sounds like you had an extra special cruise (as if it weren't special enough anyway).

Congratulations! I know exactly how special you felt since two years ago we were chosen "Dining Room Family of the Week" and had nightly treats.

Disney Magic is something else, isn't it?!@

WOW How great for you. I have never read that here till now. What cabin were you booked in originally and where did you get upgraded too?

Has this happened to any other DISers and does it happen on the Magic also? Michelle???

Not that I think this would happen to me. All I ask for is a clean room, good food and good company. Oh did I leave out the Konk Koolers.

It's just that I never read about this before.
