Magical Extras

I've only been to Disney a few times and don't know all of the secrets and tricks. Just learned about and can't wait for my kids to try Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. Yesterday, I read how to get Lady and the Tramps autograph. Then, I saw someone mention becoming a citizen of WDW and had no idea that it existed either, but I think we'll become citizens, too!

What else am I missing? What are some magical extras that you can suggest!

What is this citizens of WDW? Never heard of it.

Do you know about Wilderness Explorer's at AK? Or about Kidcot Stations in Epcot World Showcase? Or how about the Phineas and Ferb missions in Epcot? Those are all free and fun!

It's not exactly a secret, but I love the Animation Academy at DHS. A Disney animator teaches a class how to draw a character, step by step. Your drawing is a great free souvenir.

The class is just under a half hour long, and there are times now you will have to wait through one class in line, so it is a bit of a time commitment. But it's so worth it if you have enough time in the park and need some relaxing time in the A/C!

If we have time, I'll check out the Animation Academy. That sounds like a lot of fun. Will do the Kidcot stations for sure! Last time we went, they had Kim Possible stations, but we didn't mess with it at all.

Love Animation Acedemy!
The Kim Possible thing was turned into the Phineas and Ferb thing. Still fun!

Thank you so much for the citizens info! Now how do I get Lady and the Tramp autographs? Such fun!!

Just saw this:

There is a secret path that will allow you to take an up close look at part of the Tree of Life. Most people walk right by it. As you leave Harambe, look to the right after the Tree but before the bridge. There is a lot of vegetation at the entrance to the path, which makes it harder to find. It is open to the public, and it’s a great place to get pictures.

I actually think it was a post somewhere on here that I was reading, but I can't find it right now. They said that you are able to take your autograph book to Tony's Restaurant and they'll take your book to back where the dogs are kept and have it pawed or something.

I love this! Thank you so much!

Had so many magical extras on our trip last week. My favourite was Characterpalooza at Hollywood studios.

I didn't know about the Lady and the Tramp autograph or the Citizen tip. My daughter loves the Lady and the Tramp movie! Thank you for sharing.

Why did I not know about the citizenship test or Lady & the Tramp autographs?! Definitely doing these in November!
