Magical Express

Hi all, I have a question or maybe two about the magical express. This is where Disney will pick you up from airport and take your luggage to the hotel?

If so great, but here is the question that I am wondering.

We are planning a trip in August (last minute thing) and we are going to stay at Disney for 4 days then drive up to my Dad's house for his suprise birthday party for 4 days. My question is if we do the ME, can you return to the airport with our luggage and take it with us to get a rental car or do they automatically put the luggage at the airline. Not sure how it would work.

There are 2 families going, mine and my sisters, and we really dont want to rent two cars for the 4 days at disney because they have the transportation and we would be paying for them to just sit in the parking lot. I thought that if we can use the ME and return to the airport to pick up the car on the day that we are going to my dads (he lives about 2 1/2 hours north of Orlando) that we could save some money.

Is this doable?

You could just rent a car on Disney property. No need to go to the airport to rent one.

Also, to use the ME to return to the airport, you would need a return flight number. That's how they know what time to pick you up from the resort. So, in other words, you won't be able to use ME to go to the airport. As safteymom says, rent a car at Disney.
