(Only because I don't know where to post this so it's going here. Please move if needed!)

I just filled out the Magical Express form online through the Disney website. Has anyone else done this and it worked? Did you have to call and verify or just wing it and see if the ME materials came?
 
I've done it.
It works.
If you feel that you need to call Disney to verify then do so but only one or the other is necessary so in the future you may want to just call instead of filling out online if that does not make you feel at ease enough.
 

Thank you all! I received the confirmation email a few minutes after I created this thread. I won't call now but the next time I do have to call Disney I'll just verify my information is there. Thanks again!
 
I've used the online form several times and never had a problem. Usually the ME letter/tags arrive within a week or so after I submit the form, but that could vary based on how far out your trip is. :)
 
Where is there an online form for ME? I've only had the ability to make ME reservations when I'm booking our vacation package. Almost always I end up calling with our flight information because Southwest doesn't have flight schedules available for our travel dates that far in advance. I've tried to go back in and enter it later, but I've never been able to do this. It seems the only choices for me are to enter the information at the time I make the vacation reservation or to call once Southwest releases flights.

Thanks!! I am bookmarking this page and will make good use of it! I really dislike calling Disney and sitting on hold forever just to supply flight information. I'm on hold for far longer than it takes to just read off our flight details to them. I don't know how I never knew this page existed!

Actually? It fails. But NOT for the reason you think....

You, and Disney will do a great job. Then? Your Airline will change all the fight numbers and times.

When this happens (and it most certainly will) - notice you have NO WAY to alert Disney to flight changes on line? CALL CALL CALL CALL.

DELTA is particularly infamous for fooling with flight numbers. And Disney needs FLIGHT NUMBERS. They can adjust times on a fixed flight number.... but when those numbers change, for no good reason? CALL CALL CALL CALL....

Is there a way to request 2 luggage tags per person, other than calling? And how far in advance of our arrival date should this be done?
 
I've used this for years, and actually just used it last week for our August trip (got our ME luggage stuff in the mail a week later).

I've never bothered with updating anything when using this service to get from the airport to the WDW resort. The flight numbers may change (I've never noticed if they do...they may have during the many years I've flown to WDW and used ME), but they still get to the airport during the time slot they're expected...and WDW doesn't care about your specific flight number, they care about 1) when you are arriving and 2) if you have a reservation at one of their resorts.

I travel with a large party of extended family, and sometimes relatives are added to our rooms at the last minute...so last minute that we don't have time to get them into the ME system early enough to get luggage tags well before their flight (but they are still in the system as arriving at a certain time and staying at a certain resort). Each time, those family members have not had an issue getting onto an ME bus to our resort. They've either used a printed confirmation of their reservation at a WDW resort OR we've managed to get them their magic band in time, and they use that to board ME (the ME cast members don't seem to care if you've arrived on a specific flight, they just want to know if your name is on a reservation at a WDW resort...and if it is, you're free to take ME to that resort).

I traveled to Disney 8 times last year on Delta flights and never had a flight number change but if you do, you just fill out the form again, easy as pie. No call needed. I haven't called to give ME our flight info in years, always that link and it works 100% of the time.

Good point. Now that you mention it, the only reason I've ever bothered to let ME know of our changes is if we are changing the day we arrive and we've gotten a 2nd room reservation and needed to update our confirmation number

Online, no. Only way I know of is to call. We just give ME staff at MCO our claim checks if we don't have enough yellow tags.
