quick question for the experts. Do you feel comfortable taking young kids 2 and under on the magical express?? Just wondering what everyone thinks about it

Absolutely. It's a nicely padded bus, they drive safely every time I've been on it. When my kids were smaller my husband and I just cordoned them off in the window seat and blocked the aisle.

Enjoy!

Absolutely! It's a motor coach, so nicer than a mass-transit style bus. I've never had any qualms about taking our kiddos on the ME - and they've both been going since they were each 3.

How are you going to get around WDW once you get to your resort?? The DME buses are actually more comfortable and well padded than the regular resort to park buses.
It won't be an issue. Just try to keep them closer to the window though. Otherwise they try to stand up and see, and that can be dangerous.

DME buses are great. When my son was two and took the DME ,he loved it. We got to watch a video about the resorts and he liked that it had a lot of the Disney characters in it.

Both kids loved riding the DME bus - and the resort buses. I had no worries letting them do that when they were under 2 (or even now that they are older.)

we are booking monorail resort so we have access by monorail.

The monorails only go to two parks--MK and Epcot. Are you not going to visit DHS or AK?

To answer your original question...I feel like my kids are absolutely safe on the ME bus.

I have no problem with the Magical Express busses or the Disney park busses. We have taken our children at ages ranging from 7 months to 6 years on them with no problems.

Thanks everyone!!

To answer people's question, we are only planning on doing mK and epcot while there. We have done AK before and weren't huge fans. We might try DhS but not sure yet.

thanks again!

Ok, I don't want to rain on your parade here, but.....we are seeing more and more issues with the monorail. I have had some issue with the monorail on almost every single trip in the past few years. So, be careful when relying on just the monorail. You may find yourself having to find alternative transportation. Not so bad going to MK since you could take the small boat from the Polynesian or walk over to the TTC and get the big ferry. But if there's an issue with the Epcot line?? They will probably send buses to transport you.

If you want to avoid bus usage, you can take the monorail to Epcot and then walk through and exit at the International Gateway and then take the boat to DHS...reverse it for your return. But that's a fair amount of walking, and you won't be able to enter Epcot once it closes.
