Hi

I have read that the ME takes ages for your bags to get to your rooms, and also takes over 2hrs to get to your hotel resort.

Is this worth doing? Or should be and DB take a taxi? If we did take a taxi from OIA how much would it cost to take us to CBR?

I don't know about the bags (we picked up our bags and took them with us - we travel light), but last time it took us less than an hour from getting off the plane to the check in desk.
It was about 10 mins in the queue at MCO another 10 in the bus before we left and then we drove straight to WDW and our resort was the first stop.

When I took it last september it was about the same.

I love it as it's so hassle free.

I think its's a great service, last year, we got to ASM when to the bar, couple of drinks each and when we got back to the room, the bags were there. They probably got there about an hour after we did.

my mom and sister have both used it (at different times).
They also brought their luggage with them to the bus.

When my sister used it, she was the first stop on the bus, so it was very quick.

When my mom used it, she wasn't the first stop, but she enjoyed seeing the other resorts on her way. i don't know how long it took her, but she thought it was a great service.

So would you recommend that we take our bags with us?

We haven't had our bags delivered as we always get in at 8 pm or later so we don't want to have to wait till maybe 11.00pm before unpacking. And the times I've gone solo I only have hand luggage.

It depends when you arrive and what you will do when you get to the resort.

If you get in early, bring a set of "florida clothes" and your swimsuit in your hand luggage and something to fresh up and then check in at the resort and depending on how you feel change and head to the parks or chill at the pool.

havent used this site for a long time, but yesterday decided to take the plunge and book to go to por 11/09/08 we decided to book direct with disney because they are offering this service and having 3 kids who will be 2,6 & 9 it's very hectic getting pushchairs and kids and bags and passports, we also decided to book with disney for the other little perks you get plus the dining plan is included so i am very interested to hear peoples views on this service as well.

Have used this service a couple of times now, and will be using it again in 3 weeks time.
I always take my bag on the coach with me. Ive never heard of the bus taking 2 hours, I think the most i had to wait was 5 minutes for others to get on the bus, then it went straight to the hotel.
Excellent service and a lovely start to the holiday.

10 minutes at the Disney desk and 10 minutes waiting for other guests. Great service. We waited about 30 minutes for luggage to arrive.

In Jan we waited a couple of hours or so for our cases so this time we have decided to take our cases with us so that we can change as soon as we get there.

So we go through customs and then collect our bags and then go to the Disney counter in the airport? Is that after customs?

If I remember right (only done it once) you have to take your cases through customs and after that we put the cases on the conveyor and that was the last time we seen them until we got to the resort, after putting them on we went to the ME desk. I don't know what happens if youkeep them whether you take them or still put them on the conveyor

You pick up your suitcases from the second baggage reclaim, and take them down to the ME express desk with you(via escalator or lift), if you have your paperwork you go directly to the line of the hotel you are staying in and show the paperwork to the ME staff. If you have not received your paperwork you queue up at the ME desk and they prin the paperwork off for you.
