Magical Express

Is the Magical Express transportation wheelchair accessible? We will need a mechanical llift or ramp ... do you have to inform them in advance of arrival.

Most of the buses are equipped. It does not hurt to let thm know in advance so they can be sure to have either a van or a properly equipped bus.

About 2/3's of the buses are lift equiped. It's always best to let them know ahead of time that you will need it but they can accomadate you at the airport if need be.

Going FROM the airport to your room won't be a problem, except for time. Busses show up at the airport every few minutes. You just wait till they provide a bus with a lift.

Going TO the airport from your resort can potentially be more problematic. I would request an earlier pickup time than they suggest to allow time for them to send the correct type bus. (Just in case they send the wrong type bus the first time). Just make sure you tell them at every opportunity that you MUST have a lift bus.

When you make your reservation, tell them you need a lift bus.
When your tags come in the mail, call and confirm a lift bus.
When you arrive at the Magical Express Desk, confirm that you need a lift bus for your return.
When your return time ticket shows up on your resort door, drop by the resort desk and remind them you need a lift bus and change the pickup time to one hour earlier.

You probably will have no problems, but just take the above precautions to make sure.

We're arriving at MCO really late - close to midnight. Will there still be ME busses with lifts available?

I am not sure, but does ME pick up after 11:00pm? If you are expecting to use ME at that hour you might want to make sure in advance they are aware you need a lift equipped bus.

Yes, there will be. I arrived almost that late last December with my ECV. They offered to provide a lift bus, but I decided to just store the ECV under the bus and board normally. But they did say they could get one there in just a few minutes.
