We are going to be renting points from a DVC member for May 31-June 5, does anyone know if we can use Magical Express for free too?? I thought it was also available to DVC members as well.

Skip ME and save yourself some headache. If you want to use the resort check in, go for it, but ME is riddled with problems. Good luck if you need anything from your luggage. I just met a nice family at OKW that came from Alaska( military) and they hadn't gotten there stuff 4 hours after arrival. They really needed some stuff. Buy yourself some peace of mind and rent a car. One day ME might get all of the kinks out but right now I wouldn't suggest my family use it. If I wouldn't tell my family to use I won't suggest you use it either. Enjoy your trip.

We've used DME 6 times since it started last May with no problems.
Since your checked bags will be delivered later (usually within 2-4 hours), make sure you have any personal items you'll need in the meantime. Your bags will be delivered right to your room.
On our last trip, we were at our resort within 45 minutes of the plane landing (including getting off the plane and taking the shuttle to the main terminal). There was no wait at the DME check-in and we got right on a bus that departed within a few minutes. Just go to Level 1, Concourse A to the DME center (it's like an auto rental desk) and they'll take care of everything for your right there. I'd bring along the DME documents and nay baggage claim checks you have. If you have only carry-on, it's even easier since those will go on the bus with you.
DME has been a great success for us. It will be interesting to see if it continues to be offered without additional cost after the 50th Celebration ends.
If there is any questions about ME you can always book transportation from Mears or Star. Renting a car is an added expense that you may not need once you are the Disney area. We traveled down to WDW last week and being that it was a last minute trip we did not book ME. We used Mears instead. Booked a town car.....that was nice...they wait for you with your name on a sign right at the bottom of the escalators. Then picked us back up when it was time to go home....

Last month was our second time using ME and didn't have a problem either time. Last month we got in at 8pm to POP cleaned up and went right over to Pi . We had a coule of drinks at Adventurer's Club and a show at the comedy club back to POP and had our bags there. we knew we wanted out of hotel before bags would arrive so we planned for that.

I've read countless threads about Disney's Magical Express on the DIS Transportation board, and I've used DME twice myself.
Most people are very happy with DME not only because it's free transportation, but because it's great not to have to deal with inbound luggage after checking in at ones home airport.
The people who are unhappy with DME are those who missed the point that it usually takes the luggage a few hours longer to get to the room than it takes the guests. (That makes sense when you consider that your motorcoach could already be on the road to WDW before your airline even releases your luggage to Disney for sorting at the airport.) There are some guests who fail to take DME's suggestion to pack carry-ons with anything that they will need during the first few hours after resort check-in.
There's no need to wait in the room for luggage. Check in. Go out. Have fun. The luggage is will be delivered while you're out, with Disney even taking care of the bellman gratuity.
We used it last June without any problems. I made sure we had a small carry on with our bathing suits and anything else I felt we might need as soon as we got there. The luggage ended up getting to our room as we were leaving for the pool.
Our flight left Atlanta at 9:00am and we were checked into the room by 11:30am. At 12:30pm we were in the MK eating lunch. We had ordered groceries from GardenGrocer.com so when we came back from the MK we checked with Bell Services and our groceries had come as well. Bell Services gave us and our groceries a ride to our room. Our luggage was in our room waiting for us when we got there.
Leaving was just as easy. We called Bell Services to have them help us get our bags. Since we were flying Delta we checked our bags and got our boarding passes there at SSR. We did not have to wait in any of the ticketing lines at the airport. Just the ridiculously long security line.
