Magical Express with split regular and dvc reserves

Hello:

I currently have a reservation for Disney Port Orleans Riverside for my first 2 nights and then 7 nights on DVC points in a studio at AKL. Disney reservations made my Magic Express reservation on my first day, but said that I had to call DVC to make my return since I would be staying at a DVC at the end of my trip. Will DVC take my call if I am not a member? My friend gave me her points to use and made the studio reservation for me. I have a confirmation number. Will that be enough for DVC customer service? Or are only members allowed to call them? Any info would be greatly appreciated.....

She has to make the arrangements.

Or, I believe that you make them in person when you arrive at the DVC resort.

You are not a dvc member, therefor Member Services will not speak to you. Your friend will have to make your dme reservation for your ride back to MCO. Or, you can wait until you check in at AKL and have it added then.

Thanks for the info. I was trying to avoid asking her to do any extra since she was so very generous to give me her expiring points that she wasn't going to use. I'm glad to know that I can just do it when I check in to AKL.

I would wait until you get there. A friend of mine had a split stay and her luggage was sent to the second resort. It was "missing" for 48 hours.

Since Disney doesn't recognize split stays (as far as they're concerned, it's just two reservations), they send out tags for both resorts (or however many resorts are involved). It sounds like your friend used the ones for the second resort by mistake.

She had one tag but it had both BLT and AKV on it. The first thing she said when her bag didn't show up was did it go to AKV? They said no, they checked. They were blaming Southwest. They did give her a $150 resort credit to buy what she needed, she was there for a work conference. When it finally showed up 2 days later, she asked where it was. AKV.
