Magical express with rented points?

My parents rented points for a stay at BLT in May. Can they call Disney directly to set up ME or do they need to work through the owner? They rented through David's.

I am a member but didn't have enough points for all of us. I tried calling DVC to set up ME for them but wasn't able to. Would like to try to make this as easy as possible for my parents since it's their first DVC rental experience. Thanks!

Not sure if you are talking about DME or MDE. Best to discuss with David. The owner from whom you rented the points needs to arrange some things.

All you need to do is send us an e-mail with the name of the reservation holder, check-in date and the following information:

For Orlando arrivals
1) The air carrier name
2) The air carrier flight number into Orlando and the arrival time
3) The city you depart from (this would be on the last leg into Orlando if you have a stop over)

For Orlando Departures
1) The air carrier name
2) The air carrier flight number from Orlando and the departure time
3) The city you are destined for

If you have the DVC reservation number then you can call Magical Express Directly to set this up. I have rented my points to a friend twice and she was able to do it this way. It was just easier for her to call and give all the information.

She was lucky, DME expects DVC DME to be booked through DVC. The phone announcement that you receive when calling DME reminds you of their policy.

The one time I tried to arrange it through DVC they were completely nonsensical because of us arriving at 12:30am on, say, Tuesday when our reservation started Monday. I was embarrassed for them that they understood so little about hotel bookings.
