We have done DME with SWA many times.

Works great!

DME will take you to your resort after a 9:30pm flight just fine.

If you will want your LUGGAGE as soon as you check in, just don't
put the Yellow DME tags on it, and go pick up your luggage at Baggage Claim
in Orlando and take it with you to the DME counter and the bus driver will
load it on the bus and hand it to you at your Disney resort as you exit the bus.

When you are ready to fly home after your trip, you will also travel with your luggage stowed
on the bus and take it to the SWA counter at the airport for check-in for your return flight.

I have done it with Southwest before and will again this weekend. It went very smooth.

I think it shouldn't be a problem getting in at night, I am sure there is someone else who can answer from experience though.

it does still run that late and southwest participates. If you arrive after 10pm you have to grab your luggage before goign to the check in desk for the busses. It looks like you will get there before then though.

the service runs 24/7.

participating airlines only matter when it comes to leaving WDW. those airlines offer resort airline check-in (RAC) service at the resort which allows guests to check in for their flight at the resort as well as any checked bags so they don't see them again until arriving at their home airport.

in terms of going to disney world, there is no difference between all airlines. you can make full use of the yellow tags and luggage delivery to your room if you like.

just be advised that if your flight is delayed and arrives after 10 pm, you will have to claim your own luggage, yellow tags or not.

Southwest works with Magical Express just like any other airline. Participating airline only applies on your return. With some airlines you can check-in for your flight at your resort and they will take your bags to the airport. With Southwest you will have to check-in yourself and take your bags on the Magical Express bus with you.

That thread has everything about DME. It's pretty easy to find, just go to terminal B and I believe you have to go down an escelator. There are a bunches of desks for rental cars and mears and disney is at one far end. As it can take 3-5 hours for your luggage to arrive from DME, I would grab them from baggage claim rather than have DME deliver them unless you plan on staying up late.

Goofy4tink posted this advice for SWA:
"SWA arrives on Side A of the terminal. You will get on the monorail, then when you get off the monorail, you will be headed directly for the main terminal. The two sides are plainly marked. You will be on Level 3 at this point. Walk over to Side B, then take the escalator down to level 2 (baggage claim) and then I take the elevator down to Level 1, ground transportation."
