Magical Express vs Uber timing for flight

We'll be a WDW in March, staying at the CBR. Our flight leaves MCO at 8:20pm. We're planning on being at the parks that day, but what time will the Magical Express want us to leave the resort for a flight that late? I'm just wondering if it would gain us time in the park to take an Uber instead, as shuttles like that often leave extra early due to the many people they are dropping off. We're flying Southwest and probably not checking any baggage anyways.

It's always approx 3 hours, no matter what time of day, be it 2 am, 2 pm or 8 pm.
Yes, you do gain time if you opt to take Uber instead. You will be the only one and you will go straight to the airport, no additional stops.
We leave WDW 2 hours before our flights but we do have PreCheck.

By the way, this is a Transportation thread, rather than Resorts. A mod can move it for you.

Thanks, I wasn't sure which board to put it on. We have pre-check as well. I think we'll just Uber instead.

DME will pick you up approx 3 hours prior.
I'd guess you'd be roughly a 5:15pm pick up.
You need to be ready and waiting about 15 minutes prior to your pick up time.
You'd want to leave the park about an hour before that.
As mentioned Uber would give you a bit more time in the parks however this is MCO we are talking about and if you don't have precheck you could be waiting for 5 minutes or 45 minutes just depending on how many people are there.
Its advised that you arrive 2 hours prior so honestly I'd just go with DME. Saves money and they could drive the route with their eyes closed.
