Magical Express vs Town Car

We're headed down for a trip on June 21st and are staying at BLT. We're wrestling with the idea of getting a car to pick us up at the airport or taking magical express. Obviously the price of magical express is the cheaper choice but our main concern is time. Our flight gets in around 10am and I'm worried about waiting around at MCO. We've taken magical express once before and it was very quick but we walked right onto the bus and were the second stop. Anyone know if at the time we'd wait for a bus to show up and if the Contemporary/ BLT stop takes a long time to get to.

There is just no way to know how long you might wait or what order the stops you will be in.

For me, I'd rather have a rental car than pay for a town car.

From a time standpoint, you may or may not save much time, since you will need to collect your luggage. BLT has been 2nd stop for us twice. Was a pretty quick trip.

Since I stay at the Dolphin occasionally as well as at the WDW Resorts I have timed my trips for comparison. IME a Town Car saves about 30 minutes each way; so for me the cost isn't worth it over DME.

I had the same question for our last trip. Per our travel agent (a Disney specialist) we could walk right on the bus or wait as much as 40 minutes and there could be several stops or we could be the firs stop. She followed with if we didn't want to wait or possibly spend too much time on the bus, we should get a town car.

My husband rather pay than wait. We took her advice and were happy with the town car route.

We took a town car a few weeks ago. It felt quicker then last time with DME. If the $70ish is worth it to you do it. If you would rather spend that elsewhere take DME.

I will say we opted for the car this trip since last trip we waited 20ish minutes for the bus then it took 20ish minutes to board the bus and we were the last stop. I think compared to that trip we saved 30ish minutes give or take.

As PPs have pointed out, using a Town Car service MAY get you to the resort as much as 30 minutes faster than DME. IF the possibility (not certainty) of getting to the resort 30 minutes faster is worth the cost of the car service, then go for it. We always just use DME and save the money, FWIW.

For me wasting $70 only to arrive about 30 minutes earlier than the DME seems like a waste. If you are going to spend money for a town car why not get a rental car.

What day of the week? We arrived on a Sunday in October and had just missed the bus. We waited about 30 minutes for the next one to show up, and then had to make two stops before getting to our resort. Finally got there about 2 hours after our plane landed. We've arrived on a Thursday night before, which was a much slower time, and got right on a bus but waited another 20 minutes for it to fill before leaving. Other times, we haven't had to wait long at all. It really depends, but I'd say more often than not, we've had some kind of a wait at DME. We just chalk it up to the price we pay for the free and convenient transportation.

Just wanted to add to my earlier post that if we didn't have a 17 month old we would have taken DME, but with the toddler the extra 30minutes saved were huge.
