Magical Express UK Warning

Hi all

Just a quick warning to all those booking through the UK Disney site. I did 2 weeks ago and they sent me an email with a link to a site to add details for Magical Express. I completed this and had an automatic reply stating the details had been submitted. A few days later I had an email off Magical Express stating that this site was just for corporate use and I would need to call the US number. I emailed both them and Disney UK to complain about this and Disney UK got back on to them and a few days later I had a confirmation email from Magical Express to say they had added my details. Disney UK are meant to be sorting this out as this is a new service they have offered through the website rather than having to phone up. If you get this email don't bother wasting money phoning just reply to both them and Disney UK stating that you were told by Disney UK this was the correct way to book the magical express and don't understand why you can't. Hopefully wont effect too many people

I had that too, I have free international calls so was going to call and add it but just haven't gotten around to it yet!

I tried to sort our ME out last year and Disney e-mailed me to say I had gone through the corporate site, they gave me the link to the correct place, subsequently filled in my details had an e-mail to say the documents would be with us 45 days prior to departure, they never did turn up, luckily the TA had arranged it with our package but next year we are going to Universal first and sorting our own transport out and then asking for ME return to the airport which I believe you can sort out at your disney hotel.

Well when I booked, I asked because I am having a hire car, can't imagine not having a car n Florida !, but she said that you cannot have the ME if your going by car even though I have booked a Dis resort.

You have to get on the bus, which is a shame really.

Unfortunetly when we went in Jan-I used the wrong link and we turned up with the wrong booking!

I tried 3 times at Disney to re-arrange the bus home and they still didnt have me booked in when the bus turned!!! Bit of a bad experience at the end of a fantastic holiday!

Why would you want to use ME if you have a car? Are you picking up your car at the resort or just want ME to transfer your luggage, I don't quite understand!

we are going in aug for 3 weeks and are using ME and hireing a car for 2 weeks in the middle(pick up from car care centre)
As weve been plenty of times the nead for seeing everything, even when we go for 2 weeks we usaly end up only having a car for a week in the middle

Ring them up again book dme but don't tell them about the car. I did 3 weeks with a car for 2 and had no problem getting to use dme.

well for one we don't have to colect the bags from the carousel,
we can just get to the car, pick it up and get in and then we could go straight to a park or restaurant, without having all the luggae in the car which is not all going to fit in the boot, and then worry about checking in much later.

I am not keen on leaving the car with all the gear in it, in case it was nicked, plus it would be nice not to have to lug the casesto the room, but drive lesuirely from the airport, and then when we check in, there already in the room

From what I've read if you don't register at the ME desk to get on the bus they won't transport your luggage! The last thing you want is for your luggage to get left at MCO!

in the early days of ME there was never a need to pre book,you just walked up and went to the me desk and showed them you disney room booking then you walked to the bus
Then there were crys of foul play from all the limo and taxi firms,about disney killing them
Thats why now you have to pre book before you go
Oh dont forget about the recipet in the booklet,you give in in to driver on the way back,thats makes sure mears get paid.
PaulaSB12 don`t worry i`ve still not fianalised the nights were staying at pop at the beginning of our stay
ours a bit more complicated,as we drop of at one resort and pick up from a differant one.no problems doing this in the past

why not pick the car up at WDW and enjoy the video on the bus
thats what we done last time
no hassle at airport
booked with Dollar just had to phone them when we wanted to get the car they sent a free bus for us
picked up at downtown Disney the next day

That way you don't have to drive after a 9 hour flight, and for people like me who really don't like flying it means you can drink on the plane!

I know they don't nessicarily travel with you anyway but they couldn't knowingly transport this as you may not even turn up and just send a bomb in your case. That's why you have to check in for them to transport your bags.

You can use me and not use yellow tags,that way you take you bags to bus youself.this is the way i prefer it,as we usaly are late in ariveing.Its beter for people ariveing early so they can just go to the park and bags in room when back.Bags can take upto 3 hours to get to room

I've just had exactly the same email from ME saying I can't book my transfer through the website that Disney gave me. To tell you the truth I expected a great level of service booking directly through Disney and so far it's been pretty appalling.
