Magical Express Transport Question (not covered in the sticky)

If the group is traveling at 2 different times (arriving at MCO at 2 different times on the same day, leaving MCO at 2 different times on the same day), can you do the Magical Express for both parties, both times?

I have an earlier flight- my friend and her children are flying down in the evening, and arriving at 10:30pm. I am flying in at 9:30am. For the return flight, her flight is at 2:30pm, and mine is at 7:30pm.

The resort res is in her name, though mine is on the res as well. Will I have any trouble getting to the resort when I arrive (I realize I can't check in until 4, but can leave my suitcase at the hotel), or heading out from the resort after she leaves?

Yes, each guest can use ME once to get to the resort and then once to get back to the airport. So, each can use the service at different times.

You just need to register with ME under each name.

You are allowed one trip on the date of your arrival and the date of your departure, for everyone on the reservation. The larger the group, the more people you would have arriving and departing at many different times. Disney monitors arriving and departure times by flight nos. for each individual, so it doesn't matter what time of day everyone arrives.

You can check in as early as 7:00 am, when the computers roll over. Your room may not be guaranteed to be ready until 4:00 pm. You can leave your luggage with bell services; they will give you a tag to retrieve your luggage later in the day.

Just a small clarification - DME is not limited to arrival and or departuire date, you can use it anytime during your resort reservation. So folks on the reservation that may arrive later or leave earlier can also use DME.

My sister often joins us for part of the vacation and uses DME.

You also don't have to fly to use DME.

The only requirement is that you are a resort guest on the day you want transport and you make an advance reservation.

OP - best to call DME directly to make your reservations. They will probably send all the info and vouchers to the main contact on the reservation and that person can hand out/mail the vouchers to the travelers.

Yes - the DME departure info and pick up time will be delivered to the room on the day prior to each departure.
