Will the Magical Express ever go to the Swan/Dolphin? We are going in December and I am hoping this will happen by then. Has anyone heard of rumors?

Thanks!

No. Disney-owned/operated properties only. Not likely to change any time soon, if ever.

It's very unlikely S/D would want to increase room rates enough to cover the cost of "complimentary" airport transfers.

S/D are convention hotels. I'm surprised S/D doesn't offer RAC but not for free. The going price for RAC is $10-$20 per passenger.

What is RAC?

What is RAC?
RAC=Remote (or Resort) Airline Checkin
If you are flying home on a participating airline, you will be able to head to the RAC desk at your resort that morning (they open at 5am, and close at 1pm) and check your bags right there, and get your boarding passes issued.
Then, when you get to MCO, you just go right to security. It's a really nice service.
Basically, it's curbside service, but the curb is really far away from the airport!!!

Since both the S/D are operated by outside companies I wouldn't expect that to happen. ME is for Disney resorts only. As far as RAC - it is the greatest thing. We check our bags early in the am, get our boarding passes and head to a park for the day before going to the airport. Its great not having to worry about checking bags - we just head to security and go.

Ok. Thanks. I am just suprised they do not offer ME becuase they offer all other disney transportation for free. Oh well, I think we will just rent a car.

But.....that transportation isn't 'free' to the S/D..they pay for it and they pay quite a large amount for it. I'm sure that Disney would charge them an arm and a leg to add DME to their services. DME is one of the 'selling points' for staying at a WDW owned resort. SoG doesn't offer it either..and that's for our armed forces folks..I would think it would be offered to them.
Perhaps, at some point, DME could be added but at a price.
Don't forget that the S/D both charge for parking...about $12 a day, could be more. That adds up in addition to the cost of the rental car.

don't the S/D also charge a resort fee now? $8/10 a day

Yep...$10 a day. But..you do get 2 bottles of water a day (if they remember to replenish each day), free internet, a newspaper, some free phone calls. But, you still have to pay that parking fee....which drives me nuts. So, even if you get a great rate, you have to add on that daily resort fee and the parking fee if driving...that's another $20 per day!!!
