Magical Express to All Star Sports to Parks

We're flying in on an upcoming Sunday in September, should be off our plane by 12 noon & are scheduled to take the magical express over to the all star sports, check in & then plan to head to the park.

But I'm just trying to figure out if we could make it to an advance lunch reservation by 2:30 in the Magic Kingdom.

I know it's gonna be cutting it close if the plane is late, or if there's a line for the bus etc...

But does this seem possible? Especially considering September should be pretty light on crowds?

My thinking is we should get to the all star sports by 1:30 or so (again assuming there are no issues) Then we'd have another 45 minutes to get to MK.

To put it in perspective:
12:00-12:15 get on or be near Magical Express
12:30 depart on Magical Express
1:30 arrive at All Star Sports (as 2nd stop after CS)
2:00 board bus to MK

Is this cutting it too close? Or do you think we'd be alright? :confused3

The whole reason I'm wondering is that I'm just trying to save money by eating lunch at lunch price instead of at a dinner price for a table service restaurant.

You might make it, you might not. There are just too many variables to hazard a guess. The real question is: are you willing to lose the no-show fee if you don't make it? If the answer is yes, then go ahead and give it a shot. If the answer is no, then cancel it and plan on counter service.

Personally, I wouldn't book anything before at least 6 hours after the flight is scheduled to land.

I think it is too close. Sunday is one of the busiest check in days. You have not accounted for standing in line and checking in at the All Stars.
I would not schedule an ADR but would do CS as well

It will be close. Your flight may arrive at 12, but it may take up to 10-15 minutes to deplane, then you have to walk across MCO

I'd say it would be very very close. And that is if you run into absolutely no snags.

Thanks for the helpful advice everyone. I know it's going to be cutting it close regardless of what we do but we just got our FP+ reservation invite for Be Our Guest, so we were trying to switch one of our ADR's to a that day we land.

Solid Advice & I guess it comes down to if we wanna rush around right after landing & risk paying the $10 a person cancellation fee, just cancel or pay the price to eat there for dinner.

:thumbsup2

I dont think you'll make it.... can you schedule your ADR for a little later?

A breakdown of possible wait times....
touch down and off the plane by noon.
To the tram.....10 mins
To DME area...5-10 mins
Bus line....1-20 mins
On bus...1-20 mins
Drive to resort...30 mins
Checkin....5-15 mins,
Bus to MK...wait time....0-20 mins
ride to park.....15 mins
bus to Main St....10 mins

So, it could take you a bit over 2 hrs, or it could take you an hour. An hour is highly unlikely. As is two hours. Longest time, from gate to MK would get you there about 2:30. If you got lucky, you could possibly make it by 1:45.
If you are able to just get on a bus, with little to no wait in line, you could face a longish wait on the bus. I've gotten lucky and been the last person on the bus so we left as soon as I was seated.
I think it's a bad idea to make any plans for the first 5 hrs after expected arrival. Some people say 3 hrs. But, I've had flights that were delayed, and didn't arrive until 3 hrs past my original time! Not fun to miss stuff.

Yeah we probably could make the ADR for later, but we were just trying to save some money by eating at a lunch price instead of a dinner price. I mean it's only 2 of us going so it's not a big deal but every dollar saved helps :)

But yeah it looks like the best option is to move it to later.

Agreed. I always leave at least a 3 hour buffer between when I am scheduled to land and an ADR. And even then I feel rushed.
