Has anyone had any issues with their luggage getting lost when using the Magical Express tags?

I used the tags when we had a direct flight from Halifax to Orlando and had no issues. This time we have a connecting flight in Toronto and am worried the tags might get ripped off by an airline worker who doesn't know what they're for.

I know, I know... I'm just being a worry wart, but just curious about other people's experiences.

We connected through Baltimore a few years ago and our luggage made it safely to our room. Those yellow tags are pretty tough, we had to cut them off with scissors. The airlines will ignore them until the baggage arrives in Orlando.

If you are connecting in Toronto; you might need to claim your luggage and clear US customs. Once cleared customs put your tags on for your connecting flight.

We've had a layover every time and our luggage always makes it to our room no problem at all.

Our experience, too. We've connected on all our flights down including, Houston, Denver, Minneapolis, New York, and yes, even Chicago. Luggage arrived every time. Most airport workers have seen these tags loads of times, I'm sure.

Connected many times through both US and Canadian cities. Never had an issue.

Same here, put them on before you leave home and you will be fine. Also I always remove them along with the airline tags before I head back to the airport to go home, just in case the old tags create confusion.

Hi, I flew through to New Orleans via Toronto last week and had expected to claim my luggage in Toronto for customs. Turns out you don't seem to need to do that anymore. The US agent pulled up a picture of my luggage on his screen when he we talking to me, but I didn't have to claim it. I was traveling with Air Canada. You might want to check with airline ahead of time to see what you need to do through customs.

This exactly. They've been doing this for at least a year now. I don't think it's airline dependent.

I've never used Magical Express with a connecting flight, but I did have a baggage issue on our last trip, and the Magical Express staff were great about sorting it out. Just make sure you keep your baggage claim tags from the airline. In the unlikely event that something happens to your ME tags, the ME staff will work with the airline to track down your bags.
