I've been using Magical Express since it began in 2005, and I have always received a packet in the mail with the luggage tags and a booklet with directions containing the bus vouchers for airport to resort. This year, I only received tags in my envelope and a single page with a few directions. There was no booklet with the vouchers as in the past. Are they no longer using the vouchers? If not, what is used to get on the bus? I booked a package through AAA if that makes a difference. I thought maybe the vouchers were now included in the resort packet with all of the other vouchers, but I can't find anything with a bar code for Magical Express. I thought I'd check here before calling. Thanks for any help you can give!

Are the tags the regular yellow strips?? I just traveled to WDW and my DME packet was the same as always....yellow luggage tag strips, booklet with instructions and vouchers in it.

Yes, the tags are the yellow strips. Why would they send tags but no vouchers?

That is okay. Just go to the DME desk and they will help you. I did not have a coupon for my return trip home but when I checked in at the hotel they gave me a copy of it.

Thanks, guys! I called when I got home today and they said my TA had requested everything be set directly to me (which I knew), but she also requested more tags for some reason. They had been mailed separately. Then I got the mail and there was the booklet and more tags! :upsidedow

We are probably using DME in Sep for the first time ever.
What are the vouchers, exactly?
Anyone have a picture?
I am a bit OCD about being informed and on top of things, and i hate not knowing and fully understanding things ahead of time!

After you reserve your DME, you will be in the system. Then, about a month before travel, you will get a packet. It will look like this.

Inside will be a booklet. It will contain a map of the airport with directions to DME. It will also have a page that is split into quarters. This page will have a place for the name of each person on the reservation and where they are going. There will be a barcode on each space, for each person. That will be scanned at the airport once you get to the DME area...so be sure to keep this in your carryon bag!!! It may also have your return flight info. Many times you will use the same area for scanning upon both arrival and departure.
There will also be a long yellow luggage tag for each person. It will have the lead name on the resort reservation on it, along with one other person's name. It also has a bar code on it that the luggage people will scan. Each person gets one of these yellow tags. If you think you will need more than the one pp provided, you can call DME and they will send addtl tags.

It's all very easy. BUT...you do have to make the DME reservation ahead of timed. And they need at least 10 days to print up the packet/tags and get them to you.

Thanks goofy4tink!
I appreciate the help.
I am taking it that I will need to call DME with our flight info and make a specific res for date and time of pickup?
And when I do this, do I tell them at that time that I need more luggage tags?
we will be checking a car seat and multiple bags.

What vital info do the vouchers have on them? Just everyone's names and the resort we will stay at?
I stress over traveling with extra paperwork that has too much info, as I worry that if it gets lost, someone will have too much info about us!
I know, very weird, but that's just how I am!! :confused3
