My In-Laws will be arriving late the evening (Friday) before the reservation (Sat) for a family trip to BLT. They would like to stay at a Hotel in Orlando near the airport. Will they still be able to pick up the Magical express if they get a taxi back to the airport in the morning even though their flight arrive the day before??

Member Services will tell you that Magical Express is only for flights coming in the same day. It is mostly due to the luggage tags and ME transporting your luggage to the room which makes no sense since some people still handle their own luggage and just have their bags put underneath the Magical Express bus.

I did find a solution to this problem if you would like to PM me.

I was able to talk to MS today. They indicated that it was no problem, luggage was to stay with my I-L's, no ME tags. Also, we would need to indicate on the ME reservation that they were staying at MCO overnight and taking ME in the morning. I want to call back just to see if I get different answer!

I have done this using Priceline at the 3 or 3 1/2 * level, and usually get the Marriott with a 24 hr shuttle, then head back to MCO and ME in the am.

We stayed at the Hyatt right at the airport when we arrived at 130am. Told DME that what time we were coming in and what day our DVC reservations started. AND then I forgot my DME voucher. The next morning we went to the DME desk and they double checked our room reservations, issued a new voucher and we got on the bus.

You don't need reservations for ME. You can just walk up anytime. They can look up your resort reservation and give you the vouchers right there. So, yes, they can take ME the next day.

We're doing this next March and MS told me it was no problem to use ME the next morning so long as we handled our own luggage. I was lucky to have enough Hyatt Gold Passport points to get a complimentary room at the airport Hyatt - by far the easiest property to stay at in this situation.
