I haven't stayed at WDW in 7 years so I'm excited for my upcoming trip!

I called WDW last week to give them my flight info. How many days before trip am I supposed to recieve my paperwork?

I still check in regularly at my airport on way down to FL & put 2 tags (The disney tag & united tag?)on my bag or how does that work? I'm confused by this & couldn't find any info online about it.

You should get your DME packet about a month prior to travel. Some have received theirs much earlier, but my experience (right up to late last month) has been a month out. I fly down on Aug 30, and got my DME packet on July 28.
Yes, you check your bags at your home airport as usual....the airport will put on their tags, you should put the yellow DME tags on at home...much easier that way. Then, when you get to MCO, head right to the DME area, MB in hand, and get checked in for your bus. Your checked bags should arrive in your resort room about 3 hrs after you checkin at the resort. Easy peasy.

My last two trips the ME package has arrived about 2 weeks after I gave my flight info. This time we were 5 months from our vacation. The trick is to not misplace them when they arrive that soon!

Follow up question, we're traveling with 5 people, all with one checked bag so we got our 5 luggage tags in the mail. However my Dad and I are bringing our golf clubs with us as well. How do we go about having them identified by the ME folks?

If you have enough time before your trip, you could call and have more tags sent to you. Otherwise, I believe I've read reports where a description was given to DME when you arrived so they could notate it and know to look for it. This would personally make me a little nervous, so if it were me, I may opt to collect the untagged items myself.

Thanks, the way I play, it would be in everyone's best safety interest if they lost my clubs

I would call and request extra bag tags. The number should be included in your DME packet.
