Magical Express Question

Hi,

We are a party of 10 to Disney World in July, a couple of the travelers have changed the airport they are flying out of to Orlando but I already have the magical express tags. Can I still send those to them and they can use them since my name is on the tags also or do I have to try to get new tags to them?

Are you saying that some of the travelers are now flying into MCO (changed to Orlando from another airport)? I assume you are flying into MCO? If you are, yes, you can have them use your "Yellow - Magic Express" tags - the luggage will go to your room.
 
We were all flying from Providence to Orlando and now two of them are flying from Atlanta to Orlando instead of from Providence. Wasn't sure if the bar code on the tags were flight specific or if I can mail them these ones and they still use them. Sorry if it doesn't make sense

That is a good question - it may be airport specific. Let me check.

Ok - just got of the phone with MagicExpress agent, you can just cross off the flight info for the old airport and use the tags. Disney is only concerned with the barcode at the bottom, which directs the luggage to a specific resort.
 
The airline doesn’t rely on the DME tags for anything, although I’m sure MCO baggage handlers are very familiar with them and are well versed in automatically pulling all the yellow tagged luggage so it can be loaded unto the DME luggage trucks rather than sent to the airport baggage carousels.
DME doesn’t care what airport the luggage originated at, they only care what resort it’s going to, which is what the bar code on the yellow tag tells them.
If the two leaving from Atlanta have also changed their departing flights it is important that you call DME and have the correct departing flight information noted. You get your voucher for your DME ride back to MCO the day before you leave & the time you’re scheduled to catch the DME bus is based on the time of your flight - so that info. needs to be correct so DME can get you back to the airport on time.

That is correct. The departure is a whole different story. You will need to make DME aware that they are flying into a different airport than was originally scheduled. I would do this ahead of time or as soon as you arrive on property and double check before giving your luggage to Resort Airline Check-in on the last day.
