Magical Express Question

Can anyone tell me if drinks/food are allowed on the magical express?

No. Not open/consumable, anyway.

You don't have a specific bus to catch. Stop and grab dmsomething to eat, eat it, then head down to the DME Welcome Center.

On the way home, wrap up any food you might have grabbed at the last minute at the resort food court and board your assigned Magical Express bus. You may eat it after you get off at the airport.

That said, I have been guilty of eating while riding the MBTA (Boston public transit).

No food is permitted from what I remember. I know that I did have a closed drink on their and my sister didn't have a problem bottle feeding my nephew.

Okay, I hate to nitpick but really?? What does eating on the MBTA have to do with DME? Couldn't be more different. And no one was discussing breast feeding. Sheesh.

If you have a closed container, as in a baby bottle, you're good on the bus. But, if you're planning on grabbing a few subs and some sodas on the way to the bus and then sitting there and eating on the bus? No, that's not allowed. That's not allowed on the WDW buses either.
If you need to eat something before heading to the buses, there are tons of places to grab a bite to eat at MCO.

I think the DME drivers are a little more strict than the WDW bus drivers though. I've seen people drinking on the WDW buses. I've never seen anyone eating or drinking on the DME buses. In fact, I've seen people try to get on the DME bus holding their refillable mugs and heard the bus drivers telling them they had to pour them out before boarding the bus. I once had a full sealed water bottle in my hand as I was getting on the DME bus and the driver made a comment like, "You're not planning on drinking that on my bus are you?" He made me find room in my bag to stuff it and told me not to get it out on the bus.

I have to think that the DME buses are a lot harder to keep clean than the regular WDW buses. So it would make sense that the DME drivers would be firm about no eating or drinking. Afterall, it is there responsibility to clean up the bus.

Generally I buy a coke at the resort while waiting for the bus and finish it on the way to the airport. In all of my trips no bus driver has ever said a word to me. I have never eaten on the buses, I do wait until I get to the airport.
